Someone Call Carrie Underwood!

carrie-underwood-phone-number.jpg

This is just…flabbergasting!

Before this year's American Idol was crowned (Spoiler alert - it was Scotty), many of the previous American Idol winners were interviewed to get their thoughts on the big night. Carrie Underwood, who also performed with Lauren Alaina, revealed that each year since she's been crowned, its always been very bittersweet to watch a new Idol join the fold.

She's happy, of course, to see another deserving performer get their chance to make it big…but some Idols seem to get too big too quickly and subsequently forget their manners. Carrie reveals that every year for the last several years, she has offered her phone number to each of the winners, in case they ever want to chat.

No one has ever called her! ZOMG!!! WHATZ?! She explained:

"I've done this every year, by the way, and no one ever calls me. I think David Cook is the only one I've managed to become friends with and we swap stories and talk about stuff, but nobody ever calls me. So maybe they will."

Can you believe that? We're like, totally stunned! Who wouldn't want to stay up late and gab with Carrie Underwood on the phone??? What's the matter with these people!!!

Carrie, send us your digits, girl! We'll give you a call!

Dude - WTF are you thinking?! LOLz!

Nick Cannon was on air this morning on New York's 92.3 NOW radio station, and out of the blue, decided to give out he and wife Mariah Carey's ACTUAL HOME PHONE NUMBER so his fans could call him while he's at home on paternity leave!

Check out the full audio clip HERE…but go ahead to the 4.45 mark to get the digits!

The best part, however, comes after - when he calls to prove it's actually his and MARIAH PICKS UP! Good lord, does she sound PISSED!

Oh man. We hope the fury that she must be feeling won't send her into labor!

Or maybe it's for the best! Ha! Those babies have been up in her a loooong ass time!

Best of luck, guys! And next time you want to chat with fans, Nick, you might want to give them your PERSONAL cell phone number!

Facebook IS Sharing Your Home Address And Phone Number With App Developers

Phonebook facebook

We're not sure how we feel about this, but Facebook is going ahead with their quest to "make the world more open and connected" by giving out users personal contact information such as home addresses and phone numbers to third-party developers and websites.

Facebook first announced this plan in January, but suspended any further action after public outcry from users and Congressmen, but whether you like it or not, the social network may be making you more social than you want to be.

Although the info is only intended to be shared with application developers, experts still fear it may be easier for scammers to take advantage of users who could give out their personal contact information after a few wrong clicks.

Others like Mary Hodder, chairman of the Personal Data Ecosystem Consortium, sees this as Facebook's willingness to change the rules of the game. She points out:

"People never thought when they were posting this data [such as their phone numbers] that it would be accessible to anyone but friends. There's a real mismatch of expectations around that. Even if Facebook comes back with new protections, they're still saying, 'Hey, get over it, your data is public.' I feel badly for users that Facebook's approach is 'You give us anything and it's all fair game.'"

We don't think hope there is a reason to get TOO worried because the information sharing is not automatic and a developer has to request permission to access any information from a user. A spokesperson for the website said:

"You need to explicitly choose to share your data before any app or website can access it and no private information is shared without your permission."

The best way to avoid this information being shared however, might be to completely remove it from your profile.

Thoughts???
