Why would anyone airbrush such a perfect visage?
After calling out Modeliste magazine for slimming down her ALREADY slim hips, Zendaya convinced the publication to replace the egregiously retouched photos with the original ones.

Now that the unretouched images are slowly trickling out, it's truly upsetting to see how much unnecessary changes they made to the 19-year-old's face and body.
In the face shot (above), the color saturation is obvious, but also note how they changed her back from a curve into a straight line — as if that was somehow more natural?! — and made the waves in her hair more defined.
Makes you wonder why they had a hairstylist there in the first place, LOLz!
They even shaved down her collar bone!!!
Are young women not allowed to have completely normal curves on their bodies anymore? Does every line have to be straightened into the proportions of a plastic Barbie doll?
We know the editor-in-chief of Modeliste has already apologized, but we also sincerely hope they review their retouching practices in the future.
Young girls will look at these impossible-to-attain bodies and believe that every tiny fold of skin or — gasp! — protruding bone on their frames is not supposed to be there, which is totally absurd.
The magazine industry seriously needs to have a word with itself.
And we'd like to give another shoutout to Zendaya for calling attention to it in the first place!
