Christina Applegate Is Coming To NBC! Up All Night Picked Up!

We didn't have too many concerns that this wouldn't get picked up, but we're still super excited!

Christina Applegate, Will Arnett, and Maya Rudolph will soon be joining the NBC family in a full-time capacity, as their new comedy pilot, now titled Up All Night, has been picked up for the 2011-12 season by NBC!

As we've reported, the series will focus on a Applegate as a working mother trying to cope with family pressures, as well as a stay-at-home husband (Will Arnett), and will be joined by the freshly picked-up musical comedy Smash, the British remake Prime Suspect, and Whitney Cummings' comedy pilot Whitney!

Excellent! Here's hoping the two comedies end up on the Thursday night line-up, right where they belong!

Zooey's Coming To The Small Screen! Fox Cancels Five Shows, Picks Up Four More!

Wow! Fox is seriously cleaning house!

The network has announced that FIVE of their shows - including Lie To Me, The Chicago Code, Traffic Light, Human Target, and Breaking In - have all been canceled!

However, FOUR have already been selected for a 2011-12 TV season pick-up, including the comedy The New Girl - which will star Zooey Deschanel and Jake M. Johnson and focus on the sexual politics of men and women - and I Hate My Teenage Daughter, a comedy about two women (Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran) who were tormented as teens by mean girls. In the drama department, the Bones spin-off The Finder has also been picked up, as well as J.J. Abrams' Alcatraz!

Here's hoping that these all last longer than the shows they're replacing!

House In Negotiations, May Not Return For Eighth Season

house-on-fox-in-negotiations.jpg

House fans may be out of luck.

With May sweeps coming up fast, Fox has yet to close any deals with House producers.

Owned by NBCUniversal, the studio is hoping that the show's network, Fox, will pick up the show for its eighth season, extending their negotiations until April 15.

If the two sides can't come to an agreement, NBCU plans to take the show to other networks, including, of course NBC.

Another thing that is keeping both sides from agreeing on a deal is that several of the show's cast members are currently negotiating their contracts as well.

None of them have yet signed on to another season with one of its stars, Robert Sean Leonard, hinting that he may leave at the end of this season.

In FACT, he's already committed to going back on stage and doing a Broadway revival of Born Yesterday that will coincide with the production of House's eighth season.

So much dramz!!

Things aren't looking good for the show. With production costs getting more expensive and a fall in viewership, the cards are definitely stacked up against them.

Hmm, we don't know.

What do U think? Does House have a chance of coming back?

Impressive!

Nickelodeon has picked up its animated series SpongeBob SquarePants for a ninth season, which will include the series' 200th episode.

The ninth season will air in 2012, making it TV's number one animated series with kids 2-11 for 10 consecutive years.

"SpongeBob's success in reaching over 200 episodes is a testament to creator Stephen Hillenburg's vision, comedic sensibility and his dynamic, lovable characters," said Nickelodeon president Brown Johnson.

"Legends of Bikini Bottom", the next SpongeBob special, airs on January 28.
