A female Vietnamese Pot-bellied Piglet was born at the Wroclaw Zoo in Poland.

Sadly, her two siblings didn't survive the birth, but she did!

Then even sadder, her mother rejected her!

Cue zoo keepers to the rescue!

With all the flooding on the East Coast, many animals have been affected.

One little piglet, Jane, survived a recent flood in Upstate New York.

A woman who lives near the flooded area, found the pig struggling up the bank of a fast-flowing, flooded creek in her backyard.

She took the pig into her home and wrapped her in warm blankets and, being a wildlife rehabber, massaged the little piglet until she warmed up.

She said:

“Several years ago, we rescued another lost piglet and took him to Farm Sanctuary. This little one displayed so much will to live; we knew she deserved to go to a place where she could be free from fear and harm.”

So they took her to recover at Farm Sanctuary’s New York shelter, where she will be an ambassador to bring awareness to farm animals who are affected during natural disasters.

The director of farm sanctuary said:

“When natural disasters strike, farm animals are generally the largest population of victims, but because they are viewed as production units by the food industry, instead of as intelligent and emotional individuals, their suffering is typically ignored.”

So always make sure to remember the farm animals! Especially the tiny piglet who fought through the floods just to stay alive.

Mercy For Animals is running a huge ad campaign throughout Chicago’s public transportation system.

MFA’s goal is to educate the public about the suffering of farm animals and promote vegetarianism.

The MFA states their reasoning for wanting people to convert to vegetarianism:

“Far from receiving the kindness and respect afforded to most dogs and cats, the billions of cows, pigs, and chickens raised and killed for meat in America lead lives filled with pain and suffering.

On today’s factory farms, animals are confined in filthy, windowless sheds, barren wire cages, gestation crates and other cruel confinement systems. These animals will never root in the soil, sunbathe, build nests or engage in any other natural behaviors.”

Their hundreds of ads on buses, subway and train stations and billboards focus on animals confined in tight spaces or the above one with a cute puppy and piglet side by side that says, “Why love one but eat the other?”

Makes you think. Both animals are totally adorbz.

Would U eat a puppy?? We think not. Save the cute little piggies!

On a farm in Spain this mother dog has taken a little piglet under her wing!

The piglet was going to be sent to the slaughterhouse but was rejected because he was underweight.

A farmer took him in, and then so did this dog Diana.

This is so sweet! We love it!
