According to reports, the world's most expensive pineapple cost just about $2,000 to grow.
The tangy fruit was grown at Cornwall's Lost Gardens of Heligan and was developed using horse manure, equine urine and 30 tons of straw.
Spokesman for the Gardens, James Stephens said:
