We were totes worried when Daryl Hannah was arrested in Texas yesterday for being so badass in the Kill Bill movies her heartfelt environmental protest but we're happy to report the lovely actress was released on her own recognizance!

Some of the world's direst oil (the same oil the recently denied Keystone XL Pipeline would have brought) is in the Alberta tar sands.

To bring this oil over land to reach refineries would threaten the Spirit Bear, a gorgeous and rare bear species.

Robert Redford has recorded a thank you message to President Obama.

Obama denied the Keystone XL Pipeline, an oil line though would have brought crude from Canada to Texas refineries and kept us hooked on expendable fossil fuels for the foreseeable future.

And Obama has kept his promise to take steps toward moving our nation to renewable energy.

More than 10,000 people were protesting outside of the White House to fight the Keystone XL pipeline.

And among them was Mark Ruffalo.

The Keystone XL is a pipeline that would take oil from Canada to Texas refineries, and will keep us hooked on fossil fuels.

Daryl Hannah, who was arrested at a similar protest, said:
