Teenager's Cause Of Death Attributed To The Bubonic Plague Which He Got From Eating A Marmot!

teenagers cause of death attributed to the bubonic plague which he got from a marmot

Oh no!

A teenage boy from Kyrgyzstan died on Monday and the cause of death has been determined to be the Bubonic Plague!!

After it was determined what killed him - health officials moved quickly and quarantined nearly 200 people in an effort to stop the spread of the disease. Health officials do NOT believe they have an epidemic on their hands.

The 15-year-old boy named Temirbek Isakunov told medical personnel that he contracted the illness after eating an infected barbecued Marmot.

Although the bubonic plague, also known as the Black Death, is relatively rare these days - every now and then there are reports of it cropping up in random parts of the world.

If treated quickly after its contraction - antibiotics can treat the disease that once wiped out millions and millions of Europeans hundreds of years ago.

Still, that's a tremendous loss for this young child's family, and we offer them our sincerest condolences.

We're sure the fact that such an occurrence is very rare is most likely not easing their grief over the loss of such a young man.

Paul McCartney Continues Playing While SWARMED By Grasshoppers!

Paul McCartney certainly is a veteran performer.

It'd take more than a few bugs to get him to mess up a live show.

Actually, we feel like it'd take nothing short of a plague of locusts to throw him off his game.

That's kinda what happened to him at a show in Brazil.

While up on stage, for almost three hours, he was surrounded by grasshoppers, several of which landed on him while he was performing.

One in particular sat on his shoulder while he played.

Paul ended up naming the little guy Harold. Ha!

What a professional, to be able to keep playing and even make light of the situation.

Check out the video (above) to hear Paul talk about his locust buddies then still continue the show!

Deadly And Historical Animal Disease Is Eradicated

rinderpest is over

Hooray!

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization declared Tuesday that the world was rid of rinderpest.

It decimated herds and caused disaster, devastation and death associated with the fall of the Roman Empire, the French Revolution and the colonization of Africa.

It's been a long time come'n - but after years of global efforts, rinderpest (German for cattle plague) doesn't exist anymore!!

It is the first animal disease to be eradicated and only the second disease ever, after smallpox in 1980.

First it took a couple thousand years to get the first one and only thirty-one years to get our second.

At this rate we'll conquer the 709,899,993 other disease in no time!

Birds Fall From The Sky Over Arkansas

Ew! So sick, scary, and sad!

Thousands of birds fell from the sky over an Arkansas town on New Years Eve.

Officials believe it may be weather related, but the Arkansas game officials are still investigating.

Check out CNN's report above explaining the situation.

We hope whatever affected those birds can ONLY affect birds and isn't some kind of biblical plague!
