"It's fascinating-slash-scary how to prepare yourself for something like this."

We know you can do this — and after your leave, we'll be excited to see you right back at it again!

Zombie Attack Victim Waiting For $100,000 Surgery

ronald-poppo-face-eaten-surgery.jpg

As we previously mentioned, Ronald Poppo, a 65-year-old homeless man, had his face eaten by a drug crazed maniac!

He's currently in the hospital in critical condition, but in a grand gesture, the local county is going to pay for all his medical bills.

A Miami area plastic surgeon said:

"It could easily cost $100,000 to $200,000 for the reconstructive surgeries that he will need to get his face back."

So much of his face is missing that they may need to perform a full face transplant!

Even though this procedure can be impossibly expensive, the county will still pay for it.

"The county pays for those who can’t pay for themselves, so he fits the bill because he is homeless. It will require an ophthalmologist, a cranial facial surgeon, a micros-surgeon and plastic surgeons. It is like something ripped from a TV plot – it would be like the Manhattan project to rebuild him."

So sad that he was attacked so savagely but we're glad the county has his back!

We wish him nothing but a speedy and complete recovery.

El Lay BANS Plastic Bags!

LA Bag BAn

You feel that, environment??

That's the feeling you get when a huge city just straight up BANS the use of plastic bags!

L.A. loves you!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and an array of environmental groups pleaded with the City Council to vote with the environment in mind — and it worked. They voted 13 to 1 to phase out plastic bags over the next 12 months at an estimated 7,500 stores!

For the city, that means you should be stockpiling those cloth-reusable bags: there will be a four-month environmental review of the bag ban, and then an ordinance putting it into effect. Larger stores are then given six months to stop using plastic bags and smaller stores/markets will be put on a 12-month phase-out period.

Plus, you don't want to have to pay for paper bags, do you? Because retailers would be required to charge 10 cents per bag starting one year after plastic bag ban starts.

In other words, you have about 2 years to build a nice little collection of world-conscious reusable bags before they make you pay!

Of course, we totally feel for those earning a living for their families in the plastic bag industry — this can't be a very good sign.

Though, they do have some buffer to start looking for jobs if they think that they're in danger!

We think this is fab for the world, and should follow in the footsteps of San Jose, San Francisco, Long Beach, L.A., and dozens of other municipalities!

Ben & Jerry's Thieves Beware!!

Ben J Lock

We told you there'd be a solution to our Ben & Jerry's problem!

So what was the one thing keeping B&J from being absolutely perfect?

Jerks tryin' to steal it from us! We're talkin' family, friends — it doesn't matter! It's ours!

Well, we don't have to worry anymore: The Euphori-Lock is here!

Here's what the company said:

"This delightfully tongue-in-cheek concept actually came from one of our customers, who suggested we start selling our ice cream in stainless steel containers with little padlocks on them.”

LOLz! How fun!

The contraption is a two-part plastic security ring that slips around your pint’s upper lid. All you have to do is remember your code when you want to dig in!

Perfect! Now if we could just remember our code… ha!

3D printing is literally the future.

A young child wants nothing but the new popular toy car or doll, or more likely video game system or something, and it's Christmas morning and the stores were sold out.

Oh no! But wait… Good thing you have your 3D printer.
