Michael Bay has already put his
magic touch on classic horror titles such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare On Elm Street, but is Halloween next?
Most recently, Rob Zombie directed two installments of the long-running horror franchise, but now reports suggest that Bay's Platinum Dunes production company may take over where the rocker and Dimension Films left off.
Dimension was planning a Halloween 3D for a fall 2012 release, but that has since fallen through, so Bay's team is in talks to take over.

After quite a while without any updates, we're excited to hear that the Turtles are still coming back…but we are NOT feeling this director choice!
We've just learned that Battle: Los Angeles director Jonathan Liebesman is in negotiations to direct Paramount's upcoming live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot…and we're not so sure he's the right guy for the job.
It's nothing personal at all, but the guy's directing track record includes Darkness Falls and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Unless they're looking to delve into VERY dark territory with this Turtles movie, he just doesn't seem to fit the bill.
Here are the other details that have been revealed on the TMNT reboot thus far:

Ready to get all types of nostalgic?
Back in November, we heard that Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes were putting together a new Ninja Turtles screenplay.
Haven't heard many updates on that project since then, but in the meanwhile, Ninja Turtle fans can be excited to know that a new animated TV series is in the works (above).
Looks like the series will be premiering on Nickelodeon in late 2012.
Very cool! Nice to know that a new generation of kids will get the opportunity to be exposed to the awesomeness that is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Will U watch the new Ninja Turtles show? If not, will you show it to your kids?

We're kidding! It's only the zombies you have to worry about it. In this movie, the robots are friendly!
Sony Pictures and Platinum Dunes have teamed up for a big screen adaptation of IDW comic book Zombies Vs. Robots.
Looks like the film will be based on a spec script called Inherit the Earth, which was derived from the comic series.
We're not 100% sure which title they'll be using, but we definitely think Zombies Vs. Robots is the way to go. It'll attract much more attention.
The film's story revolves around "a young girl who is the last survivor on earth, and is protected by a group of robots from a pack of zombies that are intelligent and evolved."
Sounds interesting enough. We MAY be getting close to capacity as far as our interest in zombie movies is concerned, but there haven't been TOO many robot ones lately. We can give this one a shot!
Are U prepared for the robozombocalypse? How about just the zombie apocalypse?

Ready to get your sequel on? Viacom certainly is!
Viacom's COO Tom Dooley noted a bunch of projects on the horizon, during the company's earnings call yesterday, and they're predominantly part 2's!
Here are some sequels that are currently on their way…
-Zoolander 2 - This is some really, really ridiculously good news!
-Star Trek 2 - First One Was SO Intense! We're def excited for this…and we're still waiting to see who will be the bad guy, since Khan is out!
-G.I. Joe 2 - As we've said before, the Channing Tatum factor helps this movie's cause
but not too much
And here are the reboots on their way:
-New Jack Ryan Movie - Will Shia take over this role too?
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Screenplay being developed in part by Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes. Don't those guys usually do horror movies though? Please don't taint our childhoods by making The Teenage Mutant Chainsaw Massacre!
What do U think about the sequels and reboots on their way?
