Oscar-Winning Classic The Sting Is Coming To Broadway! Wait, Really?!? Here Are 11 Other Movies That In No Way Need A Musical Adaptation!

the sting

Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE us some musicals!

But there are some movies that just aren’t meant to be on Broadway!

It was just announced that the latest flick to find a place on The Great White Way is The Sting and we’re sort of scratching our heads as to why oh why they would adapt this Oscar-winning classic into a musical?!

The 1973 film starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman tells the story of two con artists who set out to scam a mob boss in Depression-era Chicago.

We’ve definitely got our doubts that the Best Picture winner The Sting will sing its way to musical glory, although anything is possible!

Here are 11 other movies we hope NEVER make their way onto a New York City stage…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Charlie Sheen Returns To The Big Screen!

charlie sheen returns to big screen

He was amazing in Wall Street…he brought the intensity in Platoon…he was cool in The Chase…what exactly will he be in THIS movie???

Looks like Charlie Sheen will be getting a chance to prove to the world that he can still act, because he's just signed on to Roman Coppola's A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charlie Swan III.

The movie co-stars Jason Schwartzman, and it's about "a successful graphic designer whose fame, money and charm have made him girlfriend breaks up with him, his life heads into a downward spiral."

Ah, we get it now! He's basically playing HIMSELF! That makes sense.

Will U go see Charlie's new movie when it hits theaters?

Winning Vintage Charlie Sheen

Filed under: Charlie SheenSad SadLarry King

Woah! For anyone questioning the legitimacy of Charlie Sheen's mental "winning" breakdown, take a look at this clip (above) of the warlock appearing Larry King Live in 1988 shortly after the success of Platoon.

Intelligent, humble, gracious, and shockingly, he actually cared about his body!

As Sheen talks about his success as an actor after the war film, he told Larry King:

"It's not about getting bigger, it's about being better. It's about focusing on the work, staying true to myself, not abusing the body, and just trying to put across performances that people are entertained by."

It looks like his priorities have changed with age, to say the least.

This clip reminds us of why we fell in love with Charlie Sheen to begin with, but at the same time, saddens us to realize we may never get him back.

Ladies and gentlemen, here is some vintage Sheen.
