A man playing Pokémon Go was shot and killed at a popular tourist destination in San Francisco.

According to the LA Times, Calvin Riley was playing the popular mobile game at Aquatic Park in Fisherman's Wharf on where he was gunned down at 10 p.m. on Saturday night.

Sgt. Robert Jansing said there didn't appear to be "any outstanding motive right now," as the assailant didn't attempt to rob the 20-year-old and didn't take any of his belongings.

While playing the game at the popular waterfront destination, the student athlete reportedly went a few steps ahead of his friend and turned around a corner, when the friend heard gunshots.

Riley was a student at San Joaquin Delta College, where he was studying kinesiology and playing on the college baseball team.

The victim's family learned early Sunday morning that Riley had died.

Our hearts go out to Riley's family at this devastating time, and we hope the assailant is found and brought to justice.

And apparently they were just driving around the Phoenix area playing Pokémon Go!

The incident, which took place on Thursday in San Tan Valley, a suburb of Phoenix, came to light when a neighbor noticed the toddler wandering around outside the family's home, trying to get back inside.

The neighbor immediately called police, who came over to check on the child's welfare. They found him screaming and crying, trying to get back in the house in nearly 100-degree heat while wearing only a diaper and a t-shirt.

It turns out the front door was unlocked, so at least they were able to get the child inside. But cops waited at the home for more than an hour (!!) with the boy, and even called Brent's phone to determine his whereabouts.

Shockingly, when the cops reached Brent, his reaction to their presence was as simple as it was offensive:
