A young LGBT leader is dead after an incident with police on Saturday evening — one that sounds like it was tragically mishandled.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Scout Schultz approached four Georgia Tech police officers yelling, "Shoot me!" while brandishing a pocket knife — whose blade, according to photos, wasn't even extended.

After numerous commands to drop the knife went unanswered, one of the campus cops shot Scout in the heart. They were pronounced dead half an hour later.

This just makes us sick to our stomachs.

You're telling us these FOUR cops couldn't take down one student without resorting to lethal force??

Obviously Scout was troubled. But this seems like the type of thing that could have been de-escalated if these police had any crisis training whatsoever!

Chris Stewart, lawyer for Scout's parents, agrees nonlethal force should have been used:

United Airlines Police Officer Put On Leave For Violently 'Re-Accommodating' Passenger!

At least someone is taking swift action. Even if it isn't much…

After video of aviation police violently dragging a United Airlines passenger off a plane against his will (because of the flight being overbooked of all things) went viral, all the United CEO could do was apologize for "having to re-accommodate" the customers.

But the police are taking this disturbing story more seriously; the officer responsible to bloodying the poor passenger's face is apparently being put on administrative leave.

Chicago Aviation Department spokesperson Karen Pride wrote in an official statement to the press:

"The incident on United flight 3411 was not in accordance with our standard operating procedure and the actions of the aviation security officer are obviously not condoned by the Department. That officer has been placed on leave effective today pending a thorough review of the situation."

No word yet on whether the leave is paid, but we think we have a pretty good guess.

In case you didn't see the shocking video, United Airlines is in some serious hot water after forcibly (aka, pretty damn violently) removing a passenger from a flight on Sunday.

No, the man wasn't causing a disturbance; he was chosen randomly to be kicked off after the flight was overbooked.

What happened next was terrifying and shocking not just to the other passengers but also to the rest of us!

White Cop Violently Arrests Black Mom After SHE Reported A White Neighbor Physically Assaulting Her 7-Year-Old Son!

Clearly this cop didn't give a sh*t that he was being filmed…

On Wednesday, a white police officer violently arrested Jacqueline Craig and her two teenage daughters even though she was the one who called the cops in the first place.

Apparently, the black 49-year-old had phoned the authorities after her white neighbor allegedly put his hands on her son's neck because he threw a piece of paper and didn't pick it up.

That in itself is pretty messed up… but the story only gets worse from here.

Jacqueline's cousin Porsha Carver took to Facebook to post a video of the entire incident, which had apparently been filmed by Ms. Craig's daughter.

In the clip, the Fort Worth mother seemingly addressed her neighbor off-camera, saying:

"My son is 7 years old. You don't have the right to grab him, choke him … You could have came to me. Don't put your hands on my son."

However, the cop had clearly already taken the neighbor's side, because he quipped:
