Whoa! Our Commander-in-Chief is PISSED!

President Barack Obama spoke to the nation from the White House Rose Garden just minutes ago, but there was nothing rosy about his words or demeanor!

The U.S. Senate rejected gun legislation this afternoon that 90% of the American people supported and the Prez is FUMING mad!!!

The Manchin-Toomey bill was a modest proposal to amp up background checks at gun shows and on the internet, but the vote failed 54-46.

In what was very far from a concession speech, Mr. Obama assured his country that he would continue fighting against the wreckless sale of firearms and that this miscarriage of democracy should not be forgotten by the voters come Congressional re-election time!

Unafraid to point fingers, he says the gun lobby "willfully lied" to the American people and he shamed

Whoa! We're not sure how Mother Jones got these candid recordings of Mitch McConnell and his staff, but one thing is clear- they were NOT planning to fight fair against Ashley Judd!

The Double Jeopardy star, who was briefly considering running against the Kentucky Senator, was the target of what's called an "opposition research" meeting- basically, what used to be called digging up dirt and slinging mud!

In the recording, McConnell's staff reads excerpts from Ashley's memoir and listen to recordings of her speaking, trying to find every little thing she's ever done wrong they can use against her.

At one point, they listen to her talk about her religious views, in which she says:

Well this doesn't make much sense! Terrorism? REALLY?

That is, unless the lawmakers are super into abusing animals. Or being paid off. Those are the only ways we could EVER see this happening — because the collection of wide-reaching laws will effectively make it impossible to collect evidence of animal abuse from here on out!

We're talking about cutting off whistleblowers with good hearts or even videographers working with the Humane Society when their evidence usually ends with prosecutions, fines, and even reform among producers! Which is a GREAT thing! Those poor animals!

With the new bills, deemed "Ag-Gag," the people who collect the evidence must turn it into authorities as soon as it's collected, instead of being able to accumulate any detailed or significant body of evidence. Which normally would lead to better results against the offenders!

Steps are finally being taken to protect our children from gun violence!

It's been nearly four months since Adam Lanza murdered 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School — today Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy signed a bill aimed at preventing similar tragedies.

The law bans the sale of over 100 different guns and also magazines, such as the ones Adam used, that hold more than ten rounds.

Connecticut House majority leader Joe Aresimowicz is proud of the new legislation. He said
