The croc is getting fancy!
After 5 years of using the same tagline, Lacoste decided to try something new for 2011.
The label recently unveiled their "unconventional chic" spring ad campaign showing models Anja Rubik, Liya Kebede, Jon Kortajarena, and Noah Mills wearing polos over sparkling evening gowns and suits.
CEO Christophe Chenut explains:
"We’re showing that you can be chic in a different way, not just when you are dressed up for a party or for the office."
Well it's definitely different, but would anyone actually wear a polo over a fancy outfit?
We don't think so.

Looks like the crocodile is getting some company!
To help celebrate the 60th anniversary of the classic comic strip characters, Lacoste will be adding Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown and Linus to their polos for a limited edition collection.
The new polos featuring the iconic croc and Peanuts, which is the first time Lacoste has ever incorporated another logo onto their clothing, will be available starting in October.

For the upcoming holiday season, Lacoste has unveiled their two newest polos each designed by porcelain artist Li Xiaofeng.
The one that can actually be worn is a photo mosaic of blue and white porcelain shards from the Kangxi Period and Qing Dynasty. The two-colored polo will be limited to 20,000 for both men and women.
The second polo can't be worn at all, unless you're willing to carry the weight! The Ming Dynasty inspired shirt took 3 months for Xiaofeng to paint, fire, fragment, shape, polish and link together.
Dayum! That's a lot of time!
The most expensive and exclusive polo is currently on display in France at the Musée des Arts et Métiers.
