Comic-Con Will Remain In San Diego… For Now!

San Diego Comic-Con

San Diego may still be in danger of losing Comic-Con eventually, but California nerds can rest easy for the time being!

Mayor Jerry Sanders has announced that the pop culture extravaganza has extended its commitment to the city one more year.

Originally, the contract was only through 2015, with many vendors threatening to pull out unless the city expands the Convention Center to better accommodate the 130,000+ crowds.

The city has agreed to a $500,000 dollar expansion- not too bad when you consider the convention brings an estimated $160,000 to the city EVERY YEAR!

So for now Comic-Con has agreed to stay SDCC at least until 2016! Maybe we'll even have a Justice League movie by then!

And, because the MDNA concert-goers obviously adore her Madgesty just as much as we do, they decided to sing Madonna happy birthday, which (it seems) made our darling poptart cry (above)!

We can't believe Madonna entered the world 54 years ago TODAY… what an influential gift to pop culture!

We wouldn't be the same without you, Madge!

A group of first responders and emergency agencies from eight communities in the area met earlier this week to simulate a mock zombie virus outbreak.

Jon Hamm Clarifies His Remarks Regarding Kim Kardashian!

jon-hamm-clarifies-his-remarks-regarding-kim-kardashian

Frankly, we're just as surprised as he is!

After Jon Hamm said in Elle UK that society values "stupidity" and being an effing "idiot" and then cited Kim Kardashian as an example, the media picked up the story like wild fire and made enough of a stink to provoke the reality starlet to stand up for herself via Twitter!

And now, the Mad Men actor is just bewildered as to how this garnered so much of a frenzy!

He says:
