Quote Of The Day

jesse-eisenberg-doesnt-follow-pop-culture.jpg

"I live without a television and have for the last 10 years. I don't go to movies. I don't receive magazines. I try not to receive mail. I'm not aware at all of popular culture. Or unpopular culture. It's kind of strange to be part of something that has had some cultural impact because I have nothing personally to add to that discussion."

Lots Of Tupac Coming Soon!

new tupac projects in the works

Tupac fans rejoice! There are a few new Tupac projects on the way.

Hip-hop journalist/political activist Kevin Powell has signed a deal with Simon & Schuster to release a bio on Tupac entitled Tupac Shakur: The Authorized Biography.

That's right, it's completely authorized by Tupac's mom, Afeni Shakur.

Here's what she had to say about it:

“Kevin Powell is doing this Tupac Shakur biography with my full blessings. I trust him and his history of documenting my son’s life, and I know he will do the book from his heart.”

Here's what Powell had to say about the project:

"It is an honor to write what will be the definitive biography on the life and times of Tupac Shakur, one of the greatest icons in hip-hop and pop culture history.”

No word yet on a release date for the bio, but on Jan 26, the Tupac-related documentary film Uncensored and Uncut: The Lost Prison Tapes will be released. The doc is all about the time that the rapper spent in prison.

Tupac will also be gracing the big screen again in Training Day director Antoine Fuqua's upcoming biopic about the last day of the rapper's life.

Exciting times for Tupac fans! Plenty of opportunities to get your fix, without having to wear out those Tupac: Resurrection DVDs!

Are U looking forward to these new Tupac projects?

Judd Apatow's New Film Gets Release Date Without Title Or Logline!

Filed under: Film FlickersJonah HillSeth Rogen

judd apatow gets release date for next film

It doesn't have a title. It doesn't have a logline. We don't know ANYTHING about it…except that it has a release date.

Universal has given Judd Apatow a release date for his next film, based solely on the fact that everything he touches turns to gold except maybe Funny People.

It's only speculation at this point, but here are some things we'll expect to see in Apatow's next movie:

-A nerdy guy who romances an out-of-his-league girl

-Jonah Hill

-A bunch of guys smoking marijuana and talking about movies

-Pop culture references that are hilarious now, but will be seriously dated pretty soon

-Jason Segel, Seth Rogen, and/or Jay Baruchel

What do U think we can expect to see in Judd Apatow's upcoming movie?

Jamie Foxx Returns To Sketch Comedy Roots

jamiefoxxe.jpg

Jamie Foxx must REALLY want to do some sketch comedy.

Foxx had a sketch comedy pilot in development with Fox, but they didn’t end up picking the show. Looks like they’ve changed their mind again, mid-season, and Jamie Foxx is still interested.

The tentatively titled sketch comedy show, The Jamie Foxx Project, is reportedly a different show from the pilot that was almost picked up by Fox initially. The network has ordered 12 episodes.

The show will be in the vein of In Living Color, and it will spoof pop culture in its many different forms.

Sketch comedy is always fun, but as we’ve mentioned before, we’d love to see a truly fresh, original, and unique TV show to be released. This does not appear to be that show.

Will U watch Jamie Foxx’s new sketch comedy show?
