Pope Benedict XVI is finally getting a fragrance to call his own!
Italian perfumer Silvana Casoli is the nose behind the holy aroma and is meant to reflect his love of forests, animals, peace and tranquility.
While concocting the fragrance, Casoli says she "thought of the smells the Pope would smell when praying at the Grotto of Lourdes" and apparently that includes lemon tree blossom and the smell of spring grass.
Inneresting.
For those wanting to get a whiff of the eau de Pope, you're S.O.L. The unnamed fragrance is for the Pope's nose only.
Thoughts???

Well that certainly didn't take long!
The Vatican is raising hell over Benetton's new UNHATE Foundation campaign, specifically the ad that shows Pope Benedict kissing Imam Ahmed Mohamed el-Tayeb.
On Thursday the Vatican released a statement saying their lawyers in Italy and around the world will "take the proper legal measures" to stop the distribution of the unauthorized photo, even in the media.
The statement adds:
"This is a grave lack of respect for the pope, an offense against the sentiments of the faithful and a clear example of how advertising can violate elementary rules of respect for people in order to attract attention through provocation."
Benetton has since removed the ad from their website and issued their own statement and apologized to those who were offended.

This will certainly get people talking!
Benetton has released their new UNHATE Foundation campaign that shows world leaders like Barack Obama and the Pope locking lips with other famous figureheads.
The foundation hopes posting these images "on the walls of locations symbolic of the desperately-needed peace process" like Tel Aviv, New York, Rome, Milan and Paris will contribute to the creation of a new culture of tolerance and to combat hatred.
Inneresting.
What do U think of these images? Thought provoking or another attempt of shockvertisng???
