Ellen DeGeneres just fingered her way to the emergency room.
The daytime talk show host was rocking a finger splint on Tuesday's Ellen, and told her audience the harrowing account of how she dislocated the tip of her ring finger.
In her monologue, the 59-year-old got right to the point of addressing her injury, quipping:
"So, you know how in gymnastics when you do a one-handed cartwheel and you have to spread the weight evenly between all your fingers? Well, I had two glasses of wine and fell into a door."
Apparently, she and Portia de Rossi were coming home from a dinner party when Ellen "caught the lip of the top step" and slammed her finger into the front door. Ouch!
After being sent to the hospital at UCLA, Ellen learned she dislocated her finger and the doctors snapped it right back into place.
The comedienne admitted her dis-finger-ment was the least dramatic injury in the emergency room — and recounted one fan asked to take a selfie with her before revealing he got "hit by a bus"!
