When Jenny McCarthy was pregnant with her son Evan, she tipped the scales at 211 pounds. After giving birth, she credits Weight Watchers with helping her slim down.
One of the tips she learned for weight loss was portion control. She learned to be conscious of what and how much she put in her mouth.
When Evan was diagnosed with autism at age 3, she had to cut out gluten and dairy, which helped her to lose more weight. One of Jenny's tips is to make your own diet rules that adapt around your preferences and lifestyle.
A typical day for Jenny includes eating an egg white omelet for breakfast, fresh fruit and veggies with fish for lunch and dinner, and making sure to always have something to snack on in between meals such as portion-controlled packets of nuts.
These are all great ideas, Jenny! And completely doable for the average person.

Let’s get real: Jennifer Aniston’s ability to look young after all these years is baffling!
She still looks almost exactly like she did when she was on Friends!
Jennifer Aniston’s nutritionist and founder of meal-delivery-service Diet Designs, Carrie Wiatt, says that the secret to her youth is portion control. Carrie actually created a food delivery service specifically for Jen.
"[Jen's agent] was positive she would land more roles if she could lose weight," said Carrie, who created the service for Jen when she got this news. "Her role on Friends came shortly after.”
"For Jennifer, the key was high protein and low carbs, with plenty of vegetables and fruit and no processed foods. It's an understatement to say Jen has maintained her weight beautifully."
Carrie’s leaving out two things that also helped Jen — consistent fitness and awesome genes.
But portion control is great advice, and you can do it without using a service! Exercise self-control!
