According to authorities, there has been another school shooting, this one outside of Portland.
Sue Strickland of the Troutdale Police Department reports that around 8 a.m. PST, Reynolds High School became the latest school to be the setting of violence.
Nearly 100 sheriff's deputies and police, including two SWAT teams, responded to the shooting.
According to local news station KOIN, a suspect is now dead after shots were fired at the Oregon high school.
Luckily, so far only injuries have been reported from the incident, no deaths. A LifeFlight helicopter was spotted landing by the school.
The high school is now on lockdown as detectives and FBI are on the scene. Students are still being evacuated, but it seems for now that the threat is over.
Police have now confirmed that one student was killed in the shooting, in addition to the shooter.
Although the gunman is confirmed dead, the school remains in lockdown. Dozens of terrified parents continue to wait outside as the evacuation continues.
