She's back in the wild, but things are still not looking for Teen Mom's Amber Portwood!
The reality star posted 10% of her $5,000 bail yesterday after entering a not guilty plea to the multiple felony and one misdemeanor charge against her by the Madison County Prosecutor's office for beating baby daddy Gary Shirley on camera during the MTV series!
According to court documents, Portwood allegedly admitted that the violence was NOT staged for the series, but that she can't be held fully responsible for her actions because of a pre-existing medical condition.
“She claimed the incidents were out of anger and were not staged for the reality show. She claimed to not remember everything due to some medical issues in which she is under a Dr.’s care for currently.”
The judge officially lifted her 'no contact' order for daughter Leah, but unfortunately, in return established one for Gary, which has apparently devastated them both. According to sources, they were hoping to reconcile!
A source explains:
“Gary was really hoping that the order against both of them would be lifted today. Gary and Amber have been talking about getting back together lately. Amber was going to go with Gary to New York City for New Years Eve and told friends not to be surprised if they came back as a couple. Amber talked about breaking up with Clint so that she could work things out with Gary in New York. Gary was absolutely devastated when Amber's 'No Contact Order' against him wasn't lifted. He's been in tears for two days. He said it's a blessing that the 'No Contact Order' against Leah was lifted."
Whoa! One step at a time, you guys!
Honestly, we're glad that this mess is finally getting resolved, but we don't think EITHER of them should be rushing back into a relationship.
Just be thankful you can see your kid again, bb!
