Praise be to God!

In what may be another small step for mankind, but one HUGE leap for organized religion, the Presbyterian Church of the United States passed a measure on Tuesday evening that allows OPENLY gay men and women in same-sex relationships to be ordained as clergy!

The decision came after a majority of the church’s regional bodies voted to approve an amendment to its Book of Order suggested last summer by the church’s general assembly.

The church released a statement on the historic decision, saying:

"Reactions to this change will span a wide spectrum. Some will rejoice, while others will weep. Those who rejoice will see the change as an action, long in coming, that makes the PC(USA) an inclusive church that recognizes and receives the gifts for ministry of all those who feel called to ordained office. Those who weep will consider this change one that compromises biblical authority and acquiesces to present culture. The feelings on both sides run deep. However, as Presbyterians, we believe that the only way we will find God’s will for the church is by seeking it together – worshiping, praying, thinking, and serving alongside one another. We are neighbors and colleagues, friends and family. Most importantly, we are all children of God, saved and taught by Jesus Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit."

This is so encouraging!

Even more encouraging is that this same church denied a similar measure two years ago, but 19 of the regional bodies that voted against it previously switched their vote in favor of allowing openly gay clergy!

Equality IS spreading with more and more people seeing the light EVERY DAY!

Michael Adee, the executive director of a Minnesota-based church group that has pushed to allow openly gay clergy in recent years, said:

"This is quite a day of celebration. We’ve restored the longstanding Presbyterian understanding of ordination: that the most important qualifications are related to faith, not marital status or sexuality."

We'd like to issue a big THANK YOU to the 2.8 million members of the Presbyterian church for opening their hearts and minds to practice what they preach by accepting EVERYONE in God's love.

Poor Coleen Rooney!

She's been forced to deal with her husband's infidelity and now she has to cope with the deteriorating health of her 12-year-old sister, Rosie McLoughlin, since the young girl suffered from a stroke.

Coleen took her parents and baby Kai, from husband Wayne Rooney, to the city of Lourdes, where many people go to pray for a miracle.

While in the French city, Coleen wrote a desperate note asking for "strenth and courage." She also asked for some prayers for her and Wayne.

We're praying for Coleen and Rosie too! Positive thinking can make all the difference!!

Naomi Campbell claims she's finally at peace with herself and isn't as hot tempered as she used to be thanks to relaxation and prayer.

O RLY?

The supermodel explains:

"I've worked extremely hard for the last 25 years and I've always tried to look my best on a catwalk. I've been as demanding with others as I have been with myself. Nobody is perfect and that includes me. Recognizing nobody is perfect and perfection doesn't exist, although it might seem obvious, is a long journey. I've learned many things in order to make peace with myself, starting with the simplest like sleeping well, eating adequately or dedicating time in the mornings to praying and relaxing."

We're happy she's finally had this epiphany.
