Another Effing Vampire Movie!

It's just the fad that never ends!

20th Century Fox wants a bite out of the box-office with their own vampire saga and has won the bid for the film Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Apparently, the studio wanted the movie so bad, they went to great lengths in the pitch meeting to prove. From the moment the filmmakers arrived on the lot for their meeting, they were bombarded with gimmicks associated with the flick - everything from parking signs stating: “Parking for Vampire Hunters Only, Park at your own risk" to bloody footprints in the parking lot to silver bullets in a bowl at the check-in desk.

Their show paid off and the Fox plans to go into pre-production immediately. They've already planned a $69 million dollar budget, snagged Tim Burton to produce and plan for a 2012.

Wasting no time at all! Too bad we could care less about another effing vampire flick!

Are U looking forward to seeing this made?

Len Wiseman May Direct Total Recall Remake

The remake to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1990 sci-fi classic Total Recall finally seems like it’s on its way.

For many years, this proposed remake has been stuck in pre-production hell, but now it appears the film might actually get made, probably because it’s kind of like Inception.

Len Wiseman, director of the Underworld series, Live Free or Die Hard, and the Hawaii-Five O pilot is in talks to direct the remake for Columbia.

The plot, which is based on a Phillip K. Dick story, revolves around a man who wants to travel to Mars, and buys an implanted memory of a dream vacation to the planet. Hmm…memory alterations? Cough…Inception…Cough.

As the movie progresses, it becomes increasingly unclear as to whether or not our hero is in a dream or reality.

Are you intrigued? If so, you should go see Inception…….and this too when it comes out, we suppose.

The Hobbit On Hold Indefinitely

It looks like the drama continues with the upcoming Lord of the Rings prequel, The Hobbit.

Even though it was just announced that filming was going to start in November, director Guillermo Del Toro has confirmed that the project has been put on hold indefinitely because of complicated negotiations over the future of the MGM movie studio.

Producer Peter Jackson has said in the past "It's not really been delayed, because we've never announced the date," however, Del Toro admits that pre-production had already started.

He adds:

"We have designed all the creatures. We've designed the sets and the wardrobe. We have done animatics and planned battle sequences. We are very, very prepared for when it is finally triggered. It's not greenlit. That's categorical. We've been caught in a very tangled negotiation. There cannot be any start dates until the MGM situation gets resolved. They do hold a considerable portion of the rights."

That sucks! We were really looking forward to this one! Let's hope the drama doesn't continue into production!

The Hobbit Officially Greenlit! To Shoot In November!

Well it's about effing time!

After more behind-the-scenes drama than a night out with Lindsanity LOLhan, the long-awaited prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit, has been greenlit and pre-production is underway!

The tentative plan is to start filming in November, and sources close to the production are claiming:

"The usual 3D technical suspects have been rounded up…so I would bank on it."

We just hope that the snags and complications don't follow the filmmakers into production!

This one has the potential to be truly great!!

What do U think?? Are U excited for a potentially 3D version of The Hobbit??

It's A Done Deal! The Hangover 2 Gets The Gang Back Together - For A Price!

It's official!

The Hangover 2 is happening, and all the leads are returning - for considerably more money than what they made for the original!

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis have all made deals that will secure each of them $5 million against 4% of first dollar gross!

Apparently, because Warner Bro's didn't anticipate the original's success OR have faith in director Todd Phillips' choices for leads, they chose not to contractually obligate the funnymen for a sequel OR pay them very well.

After the movie's monster success, the actors and their legal team made sure they would get compensated accordingly, and refused to sign on until they negotiated an acceptable deal!

Good for them!! They're at least half the reason the first did so well!

Production is set to start in October, and the missing groom from the original, Justin Bartha, is also slated to return, although it's unclear what he's making!

We're psyched! The original was HIGHlarious, hopefully they won't kill it with a sequel!

What do U think?? Do U want to see The Hangover 2??
