As the other schools in Newtown, Connecticut were about to reopen their doors to students this morning, Head O'Meadow Elementary School received an unspecified threat and was forced to stay close for one more day.
Authorities predicted potential copycat threats and intended to prepare for the worst, so police were at the school as a precaution before the threat was even made.
Thankfully, the other schools in Sandy Hook Elementary's district were scheduled to start two hours late today, so no students were at Head O'Meadow when the threat was made.
No additional info has been released on the specific nature of the new threat.
We continue to keep the victims of Friday's tragic crime and the entire Newtown, CT community in our thoughts and prayers.

There’s a fine line between being a hypochondriac and taking the proper precautions to not get sick.
Here are five medical tests that may be worthwhile taking. Talk to your doctor and see what he/she says!
1. Early CDT-lung test for lung cancer
This tests measures autoantibodies that the immune system produces in response to lung cancer proteins. The autoantibodies show up early quickly once cancer begins to form in your body, so if you can find them early you have a better chance of detecting lung cancer before the symptoms start to appear.
2. Corus CAD
This test evaluates your risk for narrow or blocked coronary arteries. Basically, it gives doctors a good look at what’s happening in your arteries so they can determine if you’re at risk for heart disease.
3. Virtual Colonoscopy
This test uses computed tomography to scan your colon to check for colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in the US, even thought it’s curable in 90% of all cases. The advantage to this test is that it’s much more comfortable than colonoscopies.
4. High-sensitivity C-reactive protein test
This measures C-reactive protein, which is produced by your liver in response to inflammation. The C-reactive protein is an indicator of cardiovascular disease.
5. Genetic analysis
This tests you for about 100 traits and basically gives you a genetic blueprint that tells you you’re risk of developing a various conditions and diseases.
Our only precaution with this tests is to not get obsessive over them — don’t be that person who is crippled by their fear of getting sick!

A North Carolina produce company has issued a nationwide recall last Friday on their Nature's Delight cucumbers in fear of salmonella contamination.
U.S. Food & Drug Administration inspectors found salmonella on a randomly selected sample of cucumbers from L&M Companies, Inc. in a cooler at Four Seasons Produce of Central Florida.
The company is ONLY recalling those Nature's Delight packages marked Lot # PL-RID-002990 on the side of the carton.
Despite only having shipped the affected packages to New York, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Nebraska, Texas and Wyoming, the company explained the nationwide recall in a statement, saying:
"L&M Companies is issuing a nationwide recall out of an abundance of caution because the company recognizes the possibility that wholesale customers could have redistributed the product in states beyond those listed above."
Word to the wise, get new cucumbers!

Truly so frightening! We are praying for everyone's safety.
While Hawaii and the North American west coast have been placed on tsunami advisories after an 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan today, thousands have been evacuated all over the Pacific region - and that includes Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and the cast of Breaking Dawn, who are currently filming in the Vancouver Island beach area of British Columbia!
Sources close to the production have revealed that although they aren't believed to be in any serious danger, everyone has been moved out of the vicinity as a precaution.
Seriously! Better safe than sorry when it comes to this sort of thing!
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this horrible catastrophe. Stay strong, and more importantly, stay SAFE.
