We were really worried about Kate Middleton: the dramatic long stay in the hospital and her nurse’s tragic death were making us question both her state of mind and health. However, the Duchess of Cambridge looked like the perfect picture of mental and physical wellness (and elegance) when she presented BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year with his award last night.

Her walk across the stage in a STUNNING Alexander McQueen cascading dress was her first public appearance since leaving the hospital ten days ago and proved that that the preggers royal is feeling better.

A royal source explained:

“While the Duchess does not feel ready to attend a four-hour engagement she is keen to show her support to the UK’s sportsmen and women at this prestigious event, which caps a momentous year for British sport.”

Yeah, the moment really does look MOMENTOUS. That trophy is abstract?! great, but we bet the real prize for the sports personality was standing in between David Beckham and the future queen.
