There is no official explanation for the death of Real World: Hollywood star Joey Kovar, but family members fear it was some kind of drug overdose.

A close friend, on the other hand, believes his death was more like a suicide or the dangerous effects of mixing prescription medications.

Jared Degado calls his friend's death "a shock, but not a surprise" because he had been receiving "suicidal text messages" from the Celebrity Rehab participant. He gave his insight in a recent interview during which he explained:

The man who may or may not have fueled some of Charlie Sheen's wildest benders over the years has been found dead from an unknown cause.

Rick Calamaro, the actor's former assistant, had been dead for days before cops found him in his apartment with "numerous pain medications and an open bottle of alcohol."

So sad!

Clearly, this guy needed help and we wish he could have gotten it.

Wow. What a disgusting abuse of power.

A pain management doctor in New York has been arrested for writing more than 17,000 prescriptions of powerfully addictive drugs like oxycodone for over 2 years.

His "patients" included 10 who have died due to overdoses and one man, a known drug dealer, who killed 4 people in a pharmacy robbery.

The city's Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan is accusing Dr. Stan Li of intentionally writing prescriptions for unneeded narcotics in return for cash by charging him with prescription sale and reckless endangerment.

On top of charging patients between $100 and $150 a visit, depending on their "complexity", he sometimes billed government health programs for the visits.

Although his defense attorney believes Dr. Li "followed the rules" and "did what he had to do", the prosecution calls his actions "just another form of drug dealing."

We're inclined to agree with the latter.

Sources close to the Lynwood Correctional Facility confirm that despite Michael Lohan's famewhoring pleas to cut her off, Lindsay Lohan will be allowed her prescriptions of the ADHD med Adderall, as well as the sleeping pill Ambien!

You can take Adderall during the day and maniacally clean your 12-by-8 cell, and then at night you can fight the effects of Ambien and hallucinate that you're somewhere else, doing something you're more comfortable with - like lines off of a toilet seat in the ladies room of Bardot!

Corey Haim's mother Judy has confirmed that her son died from pulmonary congestion.

Judy said she received an early courtesy call from the LA County Coroner's Office and was told that the autopsy revealed Corey had an enlarged heart and his lungs filled with water.

The Coroner's Office also stated that the four prescription bottles were taken from Corey's room and his mother and manager said those were the only ones he was taking. The Corner has yet to confirm if those medications were found in his body.

So very sad.

Information is slowly leaking about the prescription medications that Corey Haim was reportedly taking before his death yesterday.

And according to reports, four pill bottles were found in Haim's apartment.

Those included two bottles of the generic pills for Vicodin and Valium which a doctor prescribed just days before his death.

The other two medications found were a muscle relaxer and an antipsychotic med, also prescribed by the same doctor.

Though reports state that officials still believe Haim passed away from an accidental overdose of the medications so we'll have to wait for the Coroner's toxicology reports to know for certain.
