UPDATE 9:38 PM EST: Ted officially announced that he's throwing in the towel.
The former GOP hopeful addressed the crowd at a rally in Indianapolis on Tuesday, saying:
"Together we left it all in the field in Indiana, we gave it everything we got. So with a heavy a heart, but with boundless optimism, for the long term future of our nation, we are suspending our campaign. From the beginning I said I would continue on, as long as there was a viable path. Tonight, I'm sorry to say, it appears that path has been foreclosed."
Way to make it easy for Donald Trump to clinch that nomination.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Ted Cruz will be dropping out of the presidential election, giving up his chance at being the Republican nominee for 2016.
The controversial candidate's senior adviser — who wanted to remain anonymous because Ted hadn't yet gone public with the info — confirmed the news to the Associated Press.

The decision comes after the Texas senator lost the Indiana primary to the business mogul on Tuesday, and only days after he picked Carly Fiorina as his running mate.
Now, this leaves John Kasich as Mr. Trump's only remaining GOP adversary, and he's been trailing quite dramatically since the primaries first began.
However, the Ohio governor's campaign strategist, John Weaver, vows he's keeping his hat in the ring until the very end, saying:
