The Obama administration is considering using seismic air gun blasts to search for oil and gas under the ocean seabed.

The problem with this is that the blasts are 100,000 times louder than a jet engine and they'd occur every 10 seconds for months!!

There's a very good chance that 138,500 whales and dolphins will be injured and maybe even killed by these blasts.

Luckily, they have Ted Danson fighting for them. He said:

Michelle Obama is one lucky dog mama!

She was spotted out and about for a stroll through the South Lawn of the White House yesterday.

She had one handsome companion with her too!

No, it wasn't President Obama, he's too busy running the world.

It was Bo!! Her Portuguese Water Dog!

The First Lady had a pic (above) posted to her twitter that said:

"Photo: Bo, the Obama family dog, follows First Lady Michelle Obama across the South Lawn of the @whitehouse"

We love how close behind her he's following.

He just looks like all he wants to do is snuggle her all the time!

Just look at his little white paws! They're like shoes!

President Obama was recently in San Francisco and while there, he grabbed some chinese food to go from a restaurant called Great Eastern Restaurant.

We're not exactly sure how that particular restaurant was chosen but all we know is somebody messed up.

That establishment is one of the few in San Fran's Chinatown that still serves shark fin soup.

As we're sure U already know, shark fin soup is a controversial dish because of how millions of sharks are caught every year and senselessly slaughtered by having their fins cut off and their bodies tossed back in the ocean to die.

And all for a soup that apparently doesn't even have much flavor.

The First Family was in Hawaii for Christmas and President Obama and his doggy Bo were headed to join them!

So a White House insider snapped this cute photo of the two of them.

The picture was just released from when it was taken back in December.

Look at how much fun they must be having playing on that plane.

PETA supports the new law that allows the US to slaughter horses for their meat and eat them?

Not exactly.

As we previously mentioned, President Obama recently made it legal to slaughter and eat horses here in the US.

The reason PETA supports the law, for now, is that just because it was illegal to slaughter horses in the US, it wasn't like ranchers were just going to not kill their horses anymore.

They would ship them in tractor trailers extremely long distances to Canada or Mexico to be slaughtered there. So horses were being forced to stand for hours with little to no food or water.

PETA said:

"No one wants to see any horse killed for meat or to turn a fast buck, and PETA has always had concerns about the suspension of US slaughter, since it meant more suffering for these sensitive animals, not less.

What we feared would happen did: Rather than have a change of heart and stop killing horses, greedy ranchers who deal in horse flesh simply jammed their “commodities” into tractor trailers and hauled the frightened animals hundreds of miles to Canada and Mexico – a journey most did not have to face before – to terrifying deaths in slaughterhouses there."

Okay. We understand now.

If horses are going to be killed anyway, it's best that they don't suffer before they die.

President Obama just legalized horse slaughter for human consumption.

Yup.

That means the president says we can now kill and eat horses.

Gross.

The bill was signed into law right before thanksgiving.

So Obama will pardon two turkeys but only after sentencing 120,000 to 200,000 horses to death.

The slaughtering of horses was originally illegal only because there weren't any finances to support the inspection of horses in transit and the slaughter houses.

But now there apparently are enough finances.

So even though 70% of Americans are against horse slaughter, and Obama made a campaign promise to permanently ban horse slaughter, he still signed the bill.

Seems dishonest to us.

Just like every year, President Obama has pardoned two turkeys this year before Thanksgiving.

We're sure the turkeys, Peace and Liberty, were relieved to have received a stay of execution so close to Thanksgiving.

The whole Obama family was present as the Prez gave his speech.
