Bob Barker Pays For Toronto Zoo Elephants To Be Airlifted To California!

barker

Bob Barker loves helping animals of all sizes!

Three aging elephants - Toka, Thika and Iringa - currently reside at the Toronto Zoo, but it is getting to the point where the zookeepers, animal activists, and Bob Barker want to retire them over at California.

But that's a long trek!

And Elephants can't drive, so it isn't like they can go on a road trip.

Luckily, Canadians are known for their generosity - so the elephants will be getting an air lift from the Royal Canadian Air Force C-17.

And they'll get by with a little help from Mr. Barker!

As we previously mentioned, Bob Barker was not too happy when he found that The Price Is Right was giving away a trip to the Calgary Stampede as one of its prizes.

The Calgary Stampede is cruel event that usually ends in several horse deaths.

So now Bob has written a letter on PETA's behalf to the event's main sponsors.

Bob Barker Upset Over Price Is Right Rodeo Prize

Filed under: TV NewsHorsesAnimal CrueltyFurBob Barker

During Bob Barker's run as host of Price Is Right there were never any cruel products offered as prizes.

He made sure they kept fur coats and cars with leather interiors off the show.

And now he is outright furious over the show's recent promotion of cowhide boots and the Calgary Stampede, a deadly rodeo.

Bob said:

"I am appalled and disgusted. First, tickets to SeaWorld and now the Calgary Stampede, which is notorious for horses falling to their deaths.

This never would have happened on my watch. I'm thankful to Drew Carey for keeping up my plea to spay and neuter your pets, but where is the show going in the quest for prizes?

You have to wonder what's next—a trip to Alaska to shoot wolves?"

We hope that Price Is Right will listen to Bob after all his years of service.

He of all people should still have some pull at that show.

Three Of Bob Barker's Lions Have Been Released From Rehab

Congrats!

Three of the 29 lions rescued by the former Price Is Right host, Bob Barker, won the show case of a lifetime!

Bolivia became the first country in South America to outlaw the use of animals in circuses last year, and the 87-year-old TV icon paid for the seized animals to be airlifted to Denver, where they have spent months getting checked out by veterinarians and having their teeth fixed at the Wild Animal Sanctuary.

Today, three of the rehabilitated lions will be released into a savannah-like habitat on the plains of eastern Colorado, with water and underground dens.

No word yet if the big cats have been spayed or neutered.
