Holy crap! This is ACTUALLY happening!
Although the proposed movie adaptation of classic series Dallas never panned it, Richard Shapiro has revealed that his even BETTER '80s prime-time soap, Dynasty, is getting the big-screen treatment!
The series creator explains that the film adaptation will be a prequel to the show, set in the 1960s, and will focus on oil tycoon Blake Carrington's - originally played by John Forsythe - discovery that he's the heir to his family's empire, and his love affair with the TRUE baddest bitch of all-time, Alexis Morell - AKA Joan Collins!!
"It's not the wild and crazy 1960s, but the early Kennedy years. We've given thought to the movie before and we've been approached by a lot of companies, but no one seemed to have a proper fix on it. Then suddenly we said, 'Let's do it [ourselves]!'—and we're the ones to do it. It was my daughter Florie's notion to do a prequel, and that sounded very very good to us. It's how young Blake doesn't realize he's the son of Tom Carrington, but then he finds himself at the head of this company and surrounded by assassins and people who want to do him in."
So yeah. This is pretty much the best news ever!
It doesn't matter if this thing is good or bad, it's still going to be amazing!
They just had BETTER bring back Joan in some capacity, or else we will BOYCOTT this shiz!
Hell, they might as well just have her play Alexis again, because we're not sure we can think of anyone else who could possibly do that character justice!
What do U think?? Are U excited to see a Dynasty movie?? WHO should play Alexis??!

We hear Larry is "thrilled" about being on the show and working with Polly. Who should really be thrilled is all the ladies who get to work with this legend! If not for him and his work on Dallas, none of them would have this gig! He helped put primetime soaps on the map!
