It shouldn't be too big of a surprise, though. Hasn't she been missing most of the season anyway?

Original Private Practice cast member Audra McDonald is poised to leave the show at the end of this season. Audra was living the bicoastal life, filming in LA and living in NYC, and has decided she wants to spend more time with her family , particularly her 10-year-old daughter.

Understandable. They're only that young once.

However, Audra's exit doesn't mean it will be the last we will see of her character as guest appearances are expected for the coming season.

With Audra clocking out that means there's room for a new one to step in. Anyone got any suggestions? Perhaps someone from its sister show, Grey's Anatomy?

Back in November, Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes announced that they'd be doing an episode with musical numbers.

Now, we've learned that Private Practice's Kate Walsh will return as Dr. Addison for the musical episode of Grey's!

According to a source, Addison will "be summoned to Seattle Grace in the March 31 musical-themed episode for the purpose of helping out with a medical crisis."

Looks like the episode will revolve around Walsh's character coming to help Callie out with her pregnancy. Def some inneresting subject matter for musical numbers.

Are U excited to hear that Dr. Addison will return for the Grey's musical episode?

Lovers of the tube, listen up! ABC has handed out early renewals to six of their top rated shows.

Definitely coming back next year on the alphabet channel's lineup will be Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Castle, The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town.

Good for him! It sounds like it might be good.

Private Practice star Taye Diggs has just had a project picked up by his bosses at ABC. Taye has created show based on the "complex world of adoption." The show, called Matched, focuses on the lawyers, doctors and caseworkers who make the process happen and how it takes its toll on their own lives.

No word if Taye plans on starring in the show, but he will be producing.

Perhaps this would be a great time to get his wife into the game!

Congrats Big Bang! You totally rocked Thursday night ratings with 14 MILLION VIEWERS!!!! We're sure CBS is pumped.

CBS dominated the night with Big Bang's impressive performance, followed by William Shatner's $#*! Shit My Dad Says, which retained 12.5 million Big Bang viewers, and then CSI and The Mentalist, which brought in 14.6 million and 15.3 million viewers respectively.

NBC is probably LESS pumped with Community, which only brought in 5 million viewers.

Other NBC shows ratings' included 30 Rock with 5.8 million viewers, and more impressively The Office with 8.4 million, and Outsourced with 7.4 mill.

ABC landed the second place spot for the night, thanks to Grey's Anatomy, with 14 million viewers, and Private Practice, with 8 million viewers. They will NOT be thanking My Generation, which debuted with an unimpressive 5.2 million viewers.

Fox landed the fourth place position, and The CW trailed.

Congrats CBS! You guys seriously dominated Thursday night TV. Keep it up!
