Okay, things are getting serious.

We can't believe it, but the NHL is in a lockout and could possibly be heading for another year without professional hockey, like in 2004.

The NHL just recently announced the cancellation of all preseason games through September 30th.

Chad Johnson's recent divorce from Evelyn Lozada must really be hitting home.

He's realizing he wants to become a better person.

Just because he's Canadian doesn't necessarily mean he's a hockey star!

A AA minor league hockey team has offered Justin Bieber an amateur hockey contract, as we previously mentioned.

And if getting to skate around at an almost professional level wasn't enough of an incentive, the team has said that he'd be a perfect fit because they're a bunch of Beliebers.

The head coach said:

"We've got a pretty young team, so they’re fans of his. I've actually heard his music in the locker room a few times. They’re not afraid to admit it. They’ve got a case of Bieber fever. They may be big tough guys, but don’t let that fool you."

We're not sure being on a team with a bunch of big, strong screaming fans is a good idea.

We can only imagine what would go down in the locker room! LOLz!

We think he should give hockey a try!

Sorry, music fans! It looks like the Biebs is gonna hit the ice instead of recording music!

Justin did, however, get offered an amateur tryout contract — even if there's no way he's gonna take it!

The ECHL's Bakersfield Condors, a AA minor league team, offered it and said this:

"Very rarely do you see this combination of skill and toughness. We share a common Canadian heritage since we both hail from Ontario. I've scouted some video of him online skating with my hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and I think he could provide some elusive speed up front for us. Plus, he's a right-handed shot which we've been looking to add. I think if we paired him on a line with (Robby) Dee and (Peter) Boyd we'd be tough to beat."

LOLz!

We would LOVE to see this, but we don't think we're ready for a lull in Bieber music!

We're sure he gracefully turned it down, but it'd be fun to know how! Ha!

Neil Diamond's song Sweet Caroline will no longer be played at Penn State football games.

It was a common song in their game day playlist but many people believe they dropped it because of the lyrics "touching me, touching you."

Penn State is obviously denying that as the reason. Associate athletic director Greg J. Myford said the lyrics were discussed but that wasn't the real reason it was dropped, saying in a statement:

"Sweet Caroline has been brought up in recent years as to whether or not it should remain a part of the playlist. We hear from fans each year on whether or not we should continue it, given that it happens to be played in so many other professional and collegiate venues and has no real origination here at Penn State."

So Penn State just happened to decide right now to update their playlist.

We guess it's as a good a time as any to change things up.

The old system at Penn State is tarnished, things need to change if the school wants to survive.

It's been a rough time in retirement from the MLB, that's for sure (even though he's going to start playing in a different league soon).

Roger Clemens has been found not guilty of perjury in a steroid scandal, so his chances of getting into the Hall of Fame are better than ever.

Though, it doesn't seem to matter much to him at the moment.
