GREAT idea!

Between 9 PM to 1 AM nightly, Nick Jr. will feature a mix of original humor-based programming that will include talk shows, docu-series, stand-up and sketch comedy, hidden camera and game shows, just for moms!

Chinas Got Talent

The Chinese government has ordered China's satellite stations to undergo a drastic clean up of programs they deem "overly entertaining."

The order is also banning viewership surveys and the use of ratings as the main reason for whether a show gets to stay on the air.

The order states:

Discovery Channel Plans To Invest Even More Money Into OWN

Seems like OWN is costing a lot more than previously planned!

Despite the fact that the new network will not be making a profit in its first year, sources say that parent company Discovery Communications will have to shell out an additional $50 million to invest in longer-term programming.

Twenty-four new shows will be slated to launch later this year, which will help boost the ratings.

CEO David Zaslav has faith in Oprah Winfrey's network saying that viewership has been up by 30% compared to a year ago, before OWN replaced the Discovery Health channel. Besides having strong deals with advertisers, he adds, "we have one of the best brands in media and a very engaged Oprah."

We still have faith in OWN and believe that it has the potential to become a great network. Besides, dontcha think ratings will go through the roof with the new Rosie O'Donnell show??

What do U think of OWN's programming??

USA Network Renews All Original Programming For Another Season!

USA must be doing something right, because nothing got the axe!

The network announced today that their entire line-up of programming will be returning next year, with Royal Pains, White Collar, and Psych all being renewed for another season.

Their other shows, In Plain Sight, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent were all previously renewed.

Programming President Jeff Wachtel says:

"It's a wonderful validation that the shows are working. Though it's lovely to celebrate success, it also allows us to push out — you don't want to alienate your base, but you don't want to sit still. In our early days, original programming was seen as an elective. It's not an elective anymore, but it's also not an imperitive to fill time slots. We're still able to be more hand-crafted. We're not going to get to the point of, 'oh my god, we need a comedy block on Monday nights.' It's still going to remain 'no show before its time.'"

That's a pretty amazing feat, even for cable networks!

What do U think?? Are U excited to see all of these shows coming back??
