Chris Brown Being Prosecuted Against Hit And Run Victim's Wishes!

chris brown prosecuted hit and run despite victim

Chris Brown almost dodged an oncoming car a bullet in his hit and run case.

The other car's driver decided that the damage was so minor that she didn't want to press charges, so things should have been a breeze for Breezy.

But we said almost.

According to sources inside the court, the City Attorney is moving ahead with the case in spite of the alleged victim's wishes to drop it!

We're guessing the prosecution aren't Fine China fans?

And they're not the only ones gunning for Chris. The El Lay County District Attorney's office is also watching the case intently, as a hit and run conviction would be a violation of his parole of the assault of ex Rihanna!

Guess we'll have to see how it all plays out Friday morning!

UPDATE:

Scratch that! Looks like we won't have to wait after all!

Despite the City Attorney's zeal, the judge in the case decided that if the victim didn't want to prosecute, they shouldn't either.

Case dismissed! Breezy is freezy to go!

John Galliano To Stand Trial

john-galliano-going-to-trial-over-anti-semitic-remarks.jpg

Things keep going from bad to worse for John Galliano.

On Wednesday, French prosecutors said the designer will stand trial later this year for allegedly hurling anti-Semitic remarks toward a couple at a Parisian bar last week.

If the designer is found guilty, Galliano could face up to 6 months in jail and up to $31,000 in fines.

Ouch.

For those of you still scratching your head at how this could happen, let us explain.

Back in 1972, France modified a 1881 freedom of the press law that reads:

Those who … have provoked to discrimination, hatred, or violence with regard to a person or a group of persons due to their origin or their belonging or non-belonging to an ethnic group, a nationality, a race, or a specific religion, will be punished with imprisonment between one month and one year and with a fine of between 2,000 and 300,000 francs or with one or the other of these penalties.

The law covers "speeches, cries, or threats expressed in public places or meetings".

In 1990, the country also created the Gayssot Act, which prohibits "any discrimination founded on membership or non-membership of an ethnic group, a nation, a race or a religion".

Willie Nelson Might Be In Big Trouble!

willie-nelson-facing-jail-time-after-recent-marijuana-related-arrest

Oh, geesh! He's really gone and gotten himself in trouble this time!

Willie Nelson was once again arrested on Friday for being in possession of six ounces of marijuana in Sierra Blanca, Texas, and according to prosecutors, he could face up to two years behind bars!

Former prosecutor Robin Sax explains:

“If the Texas prosecutors do not reduce the charges, and the marijuana's weight is indeed six ounces, then he is dealing with felony and a potential minimum of 180 days in a county jail and a maximum of two years, with a $10,000 fine. Texas is more stringent than California so he could face time. One of the issues that the court and prosecutors will look at is his prior record and given the fact that he has several arrests, even recent ones, for pot related crimes. I would not be surprised if Texas decided to stick it to him."

Holy shiz! This is certainly not good!

Such a shame, everyone and their mother knows that he's a harmless old stoner, but we can't understand why he would be so foolish to carry that much around with him - ESPECIALLY given his history with the fuzz!

Not smart, bb! We sincerely hope that you learn from your mistake this time, without having to do jail time!

Thoughts??

Sister Wives Husband Most Likely Will Not Be Prosecuted

What a lucky break!

Looks like Kody Brown and his Sister Wives won't be convicted after all.

Law enforcement officials say that polygamous families in Utah typically don't get prosecuted because they don't have enough resources and evidence to go after the families.

The only time polygamous families are targeted is when a more serious crime is involved such as marrying underaged girls, false imprisonment, or anything violent.

Jeff Buhman, from the Utah County Attorney's office, says, "In my experience … there has never been a traditional polygamist family charged with the sole crime of bigamy."

Kody Brown better thank his lucky stars (and hope he doesn't have a criminal past) because looks like he and his multiple wives will be off the hook.
