The world has lost a true fighter!

Boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter passed away at his home in Toronto on Sunday at 76 years old, after battling prostate cancer.

Carter spent nearly 20 years in jail after he was wrongfully convicted of murder in the 1960s, making him a prominent figure in the fight for racial inequalities. He was convicted twice for a triple homicide, despite the fact that no eyewitnesses identified him. In 1995, the case was overturned and he was free!

The boxer’s life was also made into a movie, The Hurricane, which gave Denzel Washington an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Carter.

Our thoughts are with everyone who had the opportunity to know him!

Rubin's inspiration lives on!

You knew that Parks And Recreation's Rashida Jones's dad was the legendary Quincy Jones, right??

If not, well, that sucks! We're sorry you were in the dark for so long! LOLz!

The duo are teaming up for some major good! They'll be together in a new campaign for Stand Up to Cancer and America's Prostate Cancer Foundation (Pcf)!

Here's what Rashida had to say:

"We have to protect the men we cherish, so please talk to your fathers, your grandfathers, husbands, brothers and sons and make sure they speak to their doctors about this disease and how to reduce their risk."

And Quincy says:

"As a father, I cherish the special moments in life and understand how they can fly by in an instant. Prostate cancer has affected dear friends and family of mine, so I am honoured to be part of this campaign with Stand Up To Cancer and the Prostate Cancer Foundation to reinforce how incredibly important it is for men to talk to their doctors about prostate cancer."

The campaign starts mid-way through next month! So freaking fab!

What an amazing cause, and what a great thing for a family to do together!

Good luck, guys!!

One in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. It's #2 on the leading causes of cancer deaths in men!
