date grape kool aid bar protests washington

Annnnnd this is the moment where the world realizes that rape culture is everywhere and a whole lot of people treat it like it's nothing.

Who in their right mind would approve a drink called the 'Date Grape' at a bar where date rape is a very real and scary possibility??

The answer, of course, is the Daiquiri Factory — a new bar in Spokane, Washington. The Date Grape Koolaid was one of 15 special drinks listed on a menu posted to the bar’s Facebook on Friday, and they were met with protests the very next day!

Oh, and well into the weekend it seemed like the bar was ENJOYING the attention!

Online, commenters seemed to be pretty evenly split between anger and support. The bar's management staff itself has NOT responded for comment, but tried to explain themselves on Facebook with a link to a MADtv sketch about a “date grape” drink.

Basically they said to get over it with this disgusting response:

india supreme court ban homosexuality lgbt protests

Oh no!

In a HUGE setback for equality, India's Supreme Court ruled today to reinstate a law making homosexual sex a prisonworthy offense!

This won't just put them on the wrong side of history; it puts them IN history! Section 377 of the Indian penal code was written over 150 years ago when India was still a British colony!

The decision to bring back the law was a shock to the community. Arvind Narayan of the Alternative Law Forum said:

brooke shields opera gay protest wenn doodle

They say it ain't over until the fat lady sings!

But when the protesters start screaming, the opera has to stop for awhile too!

That's what happened at Lincoln Center in New York on Monday night during a performance of the Russian opera, Eugene Onegin, when around a dozen gay rights activists burst into the auditorium, mid-performance!

And sitting in the audience for opening night were Brooke Shields, Heather Graham and Diane Kruger!

The protesters singled out Russian performer Anna Netrebko and conductor Valery Gergiev, shouting:

Psy Might Be Plotting To Kill! Anti-American Past Revealed!

The world has fallen in love with Psy ever since his song, Gangnam Style, popped up on Youtube, but Psy might actually want some of his most devoted fans DEAD.

It has been discovered that the South Korean entertainer had been an active protestor in several anti-US protests over the course of several YEARS!

For example, Psy sang in gold face paint and a glittery red costume at a 2002 concert protesting against the 37,000 U.S. squadrons stationed on the Korean Peninsula. While on stage, he presented the audience with a model of a U.S. tank and then proceeded to throw it to the ground.

However, the most chilling discovery comes from an event that happened two years later— In 2004, Iraq civilians sought murderous revenge on a South Korean missionary for the asian countries' support of the U.S. war in Iraq. The protest that followed featured another PSY orginal titled "Dear American," but this time their was no charley horsing around. The rap included such lyrics as:

Chris Brown Is Not Welcome In Guyana!

Chris Brown may have settled his club issues, but he’s got some others that aren't as easy to solve.

The Don’t Judge Me singer seems to have been judged by the women of Guyana and found wanting. He was supposed to perform on December 26th, but the gig has been cancelled after protests by women’s rights groups and lawmakers.

Even though Rihanna has clearly forgiven him for beating her, Breezy is still unwelcome in Guyana, so he backed out of the performance.

He’s gained back a lot of his public appeal, but it will probably be awhile before everyone feels good about him.

At least the back-on-again couple can spend more time together.
