Check out the always amazing PS 22 Chorus absolutely KILLING Lykke Li's Breaking It Up during the soundcheck for their performance at the Gridiron Gala, which honored some of the legends of football from the New York Giants and Jets, last night at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel (above)!
Wow! We're SO impressed with the young man on drums! That is quite the voice, boy!
And most importantly, it looks like everyone was having so much fun!
Check out yet another AMAZING performance from The PS22 Chorus, covering Walk Like An Egyptian at the Tribeca Film Festival last night, being joined on stage by Susanna Hoffs and Vicki Peterson of The Bangles (above)!
So cute! And they all did such a nice job, didn't they?!
We're so impressed! ESPECIALLY with the kid on the drums! We didn't even realize it was a chorus member until the camera panned over to him!
Keep it up, you guys! We can't wait to see with who else you end up collaborating!
A lesson that unfortunately has to be learned sometimes!
After Andy Cohen made some less-than-stellar remarks about The PS 22 Chorus and their appearance at the Academy Awards, he rightfully apologized, and choral director Gregg Brienberg smartly used the controversy as a way to teach the kids that sometimes, adults say and do things without thinking just as often as children, and it's important to recognize when you're wrong and admit to it!
Check out the video the group made for Andy, and their performance of Apologize by OneRepublic (above)!
Breinberg also included the following message:
The PS22 Chorus responds to the criticism and the apology from Andy Cohen regarding the kids' Oscars performance. Classy and articulate kids expressing themselves honestly. And Andy, we kid, it's never too late to apologize, and we truly appreciate it, but next time take a lesson from the kids…..
All in good fun!
And the great song is Apologize by One Republic, and it was cool trying 3 part harmony.
What thoughtful comments!
And we're glad that they all openly expressed their feelings about the situation, whether they accept his apology or not!
It's so important to recognize how you're feeling and to be honest with yourself!
Hopefully now they can all put what happened behind them and focus on what's most important: the music!
Bravo's Andy Cohen recently caused quite a bit of controversy when he made some truly harsh comments regarding the PS 22 Chorus and their performance at the Academy Awards, but thankfully, realized he took it too far, and used his talk show Watch What Happens Live last night to issue a public apology to the children and award himself with 'Jackhole of the Week!'
He said:
"The Jackhole is yours truly…for comments I made on Morning Joe this morning. Those PS 22 choir kids did not deserve it…I am a product of public education…anyway, I am sorry and I am the Jackhole of the week."
And check out a clip of his apology (above)!
Sounds pretty sincere to us!
Obviously, everyone makes mistakes and we're sure he didn't mean to come off as harsh as he did, but we're very happy to see him taking responsibility for his words and making amends!
Well done, sir!
What do U think?? Did Andy make up for his comments??
Kanye West may not have been having the best week - between the gay rumors, his latest temper tantrum, and a bruised up Lamborghini - but we have a feeling that with this weekend, all of that's about to change!
The sometimes-volatile yet supremely talented rapper has been hard at work recording his new album in Paris, and apparently, has few very creative, larger than life tricks up his sleeve for how he's going to begin its promotional campaign!
Which, of course, started last night, when he projected a video of himself performing his brand new single, New Slaves, onto the sides of 66 BUILDINGS LOCATED ALL OVER THE WORLD!
Ch-ch-check out to what the folks of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, were treated on the corner of Bedford and N. 7 (above)!
