Hamilton Is Officially A Pulitzer Prize-Winning Musical! Find Out Why That's So Rare!

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Hamilton!

They didn't throw away their shot!

It seems like most people have been addicted to Hamilton ever since it opened on Broadway last year, and now, the acclaimed musical is taking home a HUGE honor to justify everyone's insane obsession!

On Monday, the Alexander Hamilton-inspired production received this year's Pulitzer Prize for Drama!

This is an even bigger deal when you take into account only nine musicals have ever won the award over plays. The most recent ones to claim the prize were Next to Normal in 2010 and then all the way back to Rent in 1996!

And, Lin Manuel-Miranda's show received this rare recognition on the 100th anniversary of the awards, which celebrate impressive work in the arts and journalism.

Nice!

We're so proud of the cast and crew, and are SURE this is a good sign for Hamilton's chances at the 70th Annual Tony Awards later this year!

The Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist made headlines in 2015 after it was revealed that she was releasing a sequel to Mockingbird entitled Go Set a Watchman after more than half a century.

Sadly, there will never be another.

Rest in peace, Harper.

We all knew the CRAZY was coming in a big way when it was announced that Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright would be releasing an expose on Scientology called Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood & the Prison of Belief, but now that it's set to be released this week and is already garnering critical praise left and right, new details about just WHAT exactly goes down in the religious organization are spilling out…and they make the earlier excerpts regarding Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's marriage look like the paradigm of sanity and logic!

In fact, according to new details, the controversial actor, who has been praising Xenu since he was only 23, was able to rise to the top of Scientology because of his celebrity status and friendship with David Miscavige and now, is reportedly number three in the hierarchy!

Tom Hanks Is A Lucky Guy To Be Making Broadway Debut In Nora Ephron's Last Play

We heard it was a possibility, but now it has been confirmed. Tom Hanks is coming to Broadway!

The Oscar-winning actor will make his debut in Nora Ephron's Lucky Guy, which follows the controversial career of a Mike McAlary, a New York columnist who won a Pulitzer Prize just before his death in 1998.

Previews for the show at the Broadhurst Theatre will begin on March 1 and opening night is scheduled for April 1.

We're very excited to see! Not only is it Tom Hanks, but it's the Sleepless In Seattle and You've Got Mail writer's last work finished before her death this past June.

While it's sad she won't be able to see one of her favorite actors bring her words to life, we're just happy that others can.

But don't expect to see the Audrey Hepburn movie or the sh*teous musical version that flopped back in the day!

Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg has announced that he is prepping the release of his ALL-NEW adaptation of the classic Truman Capote novella Breakfast at Tiffany's for the Broadway stage, which will star Game of Thrones actress - and potential Anastasia Steele - Emilia Clarke as the iconic Holly Golightly and begin performances at Shubert theater in February 2013!

And when we say all-new, we mean it!

He's ignoring all of the adaptations that have been released prior and relying strictly on the original text!
