Selfridges Drops Rachel Zoe's Collection Like A Dirty Shirt

rachel-zoes-clothing-line-pulled-from-selfridges-not-selling-well.jpg

It seems like the rumors may be true!

Rachel Zoe's eponymous line is being pulled from UK department store Selfridges due to less than lucrative sales.

A source said:

"Her London launch didn’t go as well as she’d hoped. Selfridges dropped her clothing line because it was very expensive. They still have her shoe collection but the clothing line wasn’t as successful as hoped."

As a result, the celebrity stylist won't be making any appearances during London Fashion Week, which is Zoe not like her.

Oh well, that just means more mommy and me time with little Skyler!

Target Pulls Offensive "Stalker" Valentine's Day Card

Once again, Target's pissed off their customers and this time it's over a Valentine's Day card.

Porn star Ginger Lee, aka the woman who went public with her online relationship with Rep. Anthony Weiner, last year says the card that reads "Stalker is a harsh word" on the front and "I prefer Valentine" inside is offensive to those who have been stalked.

Target has since pulled the card and released a statement to apologize:

"It is never our intent to offend guests with the products we offer and we take feedback from guests’ very seriously. We immediately made the decision to remove this card from our selection. There may be stores that still have this card on the sales floor. If a guest sees this card in a store, they can notify a team member who can remove it from the sales floor."

Vogue Italia Pulls Model's Photo After Appearing On Pro-Ana Sites

karlie-kloss-pulled-vogue-italia-photo.jpg

Vogue Italia is in damage control mode after an image from from their December issue began popping up on thin-spiration and pro-anorexia websites.

The photo of an awkwardly positioned Karlie Kloss (above) came under fire almost immediately after finding its way online.

Many readers said the supermodel looked alarmingly thin or was the victim of over-Photoshopping. Whatever the case may be, Vogue's got the message and pulled the image from their site.

Kinda ironic considering editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani started an anti-anorexia campaign earlier this year.

More Fashion Ads Banned From The UK

new-drop-dead-ads-banned-in-uk.jpg

The British Advertising Standards Authority is at it again. Just this week we told you the agency banned the Marc Jacobs fragrance ads for Oh Lola! featuring the lovely Dakota Fanning.

Those ad apparently depicted Miz Fanning appearing too young with a large perfume bottle between her legs which was considered to be “sexualizing of a child”.

Now they’ve gone and banned ads from British clothing line, Drop Deap, calling them “socially irresponsible” for featuring a model they deem too thin. According to their statement:

Marc Jacobs' Ads Featuring Dakota Fanning Banned From UK

oh-lola-marc-jacobs-fragrance-dakota-fanning-ad-hq__opt.jpg

Really, this ad was considered too provocative?

Marc Jacobs latest perfume ad for Oh Lola! featuring the lovely Dakota Fanning has been pulled from the UK.

The British Advertising Standards Authority finds the ad showing the 17-year-old with a perfume bottle between her legs to be sexualizing of a child.

According to their statement:

"We noted that the model was holding up the perfume bottle which rested in her lap between her legs and we considered that its position was sexually provocative. We understood the model was 17 years old but we considered she looked under the age of 16. We considered that the length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality. Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could be seen to sexualise a child."

Do U find the ad inappropriate???

topman-domestic-violence-tshirt-pulled-controversy.jpg

What is up with all the domestic violence references lately?

First there was the Canadian hair salon ad, then the Tyler Shields photo and now this.

Topshop's brother label Topman was forced to pull a shirt that mad fun of domestic violence after being inundated with complaints of their Facebook page.

The company issued a statement shortly after, saying:

"We have received some negative feedback regarding two of our printed T-shirts. Whilst we would like to stress that these T-shirts were meant to be light-hearted and carried no serious meaning, we have made the decision to remove these from store and online as soon as possible. We would like to apologise to those who may have been offended by these designs."

The other shirt they are referring to is one that compared women to dogs: "Nice New Girlfriend, What Breed Is She?".
