Big news!!!
After lengthy discussions with PETA, Puma has pledged to NEVER use fur or exotic animal skins in any of their products.
The sportswear brand's decision is receiving praise worldwide and they were even awarded the Compassionate Retailer Award from the animal rights' organization.
PETA's EVP Tracy Reiman says Puma going animal-free is HUGE:
"Every snakeskin shoe or piece of fur trim comes with a high price—and it's paid by animals who are driven mad in cages on fur farms or nailed to trees and skinned alive. When a company of Puma's prestige takes a tough stance against animal abuse, the entire industry and other businesses worldwide sit up and take notice."
We couldn't agree more! Hopefully more companies will follow in their footsteps!
What do you think about Puma's choice? Does it make you want to support them more???

As we mentioned last year, Kimberly Walsh was chosen as Puma's hottie of a spokesperson.
Now, the Girls Aloud star is yet again starring in a new campaign for the company, this time for the Puma TrainLite campaign.
For the new ads, Kim gets wet and steamy, showing off her sexual athletic side.
Gorgeous! Oh yea, and the shoes look good too.
Then check out the behind the scenes clip after the jump of Walsh at her shoot.

Puma is creating a new fitness program called BodyTrain, and they have picked the super-hawt Girls Aloud singer Kimberly Walsh to be the spokesperson.
Said Roger Harrison, Puma’s UK Marketing Director:
“We are delighted to introduce Kimberley Walsh as the face of PUMA BodyTrain. Kimberley is stylish, glamorous and her much admired body has helped to establish her as an inspiration to women throughout the UK making her the perfect ambassador.”
The new fitness program is easy to do and focuses on creating toned, lean muscle. Kimberly couldn’t be more excited:
“I am really excited to be involved in the launch of BodyTrain. With such a busy lifestyle I often don’t have time to go to the gym and so this is the perfect way to do something positive for my body.”
We gotta try it!!

We love it when companies get eco-friendly!
Puma has decided to ditch the traditional shoe box and will now be selling their kicks in a reusable bag.
The company is calling these new carriers the "Clever Little Bag" and will be wrapped in cardboard frames.
The shoe brand says they spent 21 months coming up with the sustainable idea that will cut costs on resources used to make them.
Not a bad idea!
Maybe other companies will follow in their footsteps!
