In case you've somehow never noticed, Joe Manganiello is RIPPED!

But he didn't get his amazingly sexy body by accident! He got it by hitting the gym and pumping iron on a regular basis!

In fact, Joe is such a workout machine that he decided to write an ENTIRE book about it!

Well the Magic Mike actor was spotted putting his wealth of bulky knowledge to good use as he was spotted hitting the gym in El Lay!

Unfortunately, Joe Man kept his buff bod hidden under a sweater, meaning we couldn't see the fruits of his labor!

Oh well, we'll just have to let our imaginations run wild! LOLz!

lucy hale spotted leaving gym after a workout in los angeles

Someone has been hitting the gym an AWFUL lot lately!

Lucy Hale was once again spotted leaving her gym in El Lay after pumping some iron and showing her fellow body builders how it's done!

Just like last time, she still managed to look great as she stayed hydrated in her workout clothes, but we did notice one MAJOR difference in her wardrobe!!

The Pretty Little Liars actress traded in her Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap for a New York Yankees hat!!

Oh no!! Has Lucy already given up on the boys in blue??!

We guess we'll have to forgive her anyways since she's just so dang adorable! But c'mon, Lucy! Show a little faith!!

Study Shows Weight Training Helps Smokers Quit!

Weight lifting smoking

If you're trying to quit smoking, start hitting the weight room at your gym!

A new study from the Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island has found that pumping iron made men and women attempting to quit smoke TWICE as successful!

Researchers enlisted 25 male and female smokers between the ages of 18 and 65, all smoking at least 5 cigarettes a day, to participate in the study.

They were randomly placed into two groups: One engaging in two 60-minute training sessions per week for 12 weeks, while the other only watched a brief health and wellness video twice a week.

16% of smokers in the resistance training group not only quit smoking at the end of the 12 week period, but also decreased their body weight and body fat.

8% of individuals that only watched the video had quit smoking, but saw an INCREASE in their body weight and fat.

Researchers say more studies will be needed to validate the promising findings, but it sounds like weight training can only benefit people trying to quit smoking.

It also appears to encourage those who quit to ditch the nasty habit for good. Three months after the study, 15% of those in the resistance training group had managed not to lapse either.
