Adele is a living legend, but apparently not legendary enough to do a Prince song justice!

The British crooner kicked off her U.S. tour on Tuesday and took the opportunity to pay tribute to the late legend — but not with her voice like other singers have!

During her Minnesota concert at the Xcel Energy Center, the 28-year-old said she didn't feel "worthy enough" to cover one of the Little Red Corvette singer's hits! Wait, what!?

Speaking to the crowd, she said:

"I did maybe consider covering a song. But f*ck it, it's Prince!"

Instead, Adele played the full video for Prince's 1994 track The Most Beautiful Girl In The World as she left the stage before her encore!

Even though the songstress would have absolutely SLAYED a rendition of Purple Rain, this is a fine alternative… we guess!
