NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Addresses Racist Clippers Owner Donald Sterling! Will Act Quickly!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooZportzLegal MattersBasketball

It seems like there’s a lot of legal tape to get through here.

We’ve been following the story of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling who allegedly said some horrible racist things to his girlfriend V. Stiviano.

While the NBA’s playoff games were taking place on Saturday night, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver took the podium to talk about issue and what the league plans to do (above).

Silver mentioned that they will work “quickly” to sort it all out, since Sterling’s people are saying the tape may have been altered due to a lawsuit. Well, that suit, which says Miz Stiviano embezzled $1.8 million, was reportedly brought to court by Sterling’s estranged WIFE Shelly!

Sounds kind of catty!

And because of the suit, Stiviano’s lawyer won’t let her talk to the NBA in their investigation.

It seems like this case may be the reason that Sterling stays in command for a little while longer.

Thoughts???

It's like John Galliano all over again!

A French court has found Jean-Paul Guerlain guilty of making racist comments during a 2010 interview on French TV.

As punishment for saying he "worked like a n****r" the 75 year old perfumer has been ordered to pay 6,000 euros or $7,960. In addition to the fine, he also has to pay Movement Against Racism and for Friendship, SOS Racism Association, and French Representative Council of Black Associations $5,370 EACH.

During the trial Guerlain told the court he is "from another generation" and it was "a common expression at the time". While he regrets his decision, he still insists he was being anything but racist.

Do U think that's a far punishment???

LVMH owned perfume house Guerlain is being sued by anti-racism groups after Jean-Paul Guerlain dropped the n-bomb on TV.

During the French state TV interview, Guerlain was asked about his new fragrance Samsara, to which he replied: "I worked like a n****r. I don't know if n*****s have always worked like that, but anyway."

Because of Jean-Paul's insensitive comments, Al Sharpton and other US civil rights activists hope to meet with French president Nicolas Sarkozy to discuss what the perfumier said.
