Makenzie Lawrey's brother Gavin is only 6 years old but he suffers from mitochondrial disease - a rare illness which zaps the energy of cells inside a body which can result in muscle weakness, cardiac and/or liver disease, along with a lot more serious complications.
Once Mackenzie was old enough to learn more about her brother's illness and realized that not a lot of money is donated to find a cure, she wrote a book that
Randall, the magic man who narrated the famous Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger video, lent his recognizable voice to the Dogs for the Deaf Hollywoof 2 Event, and joined none other than Miss Betty White!
The celeb-filled benefit, held at the Wilshire Country Club, helped raise awareness and funds for the organization, Dogs for the Deaf, which helps rescue and professionally train dogs to be able to help deaf people.
Watch the vid (above) to hear Randall HIGHlariously narrate the event and hear Betty's impassioned speech!
There's nothing like the help and companionship of a rescue pooch!
Ramona "Pinot Grigio" Singer, Carole Radziwill, LuAnn de Lesseps, Heather Thomson, Sonja Morgan and Aviva Drescher have ALL signed back on after facing being fired as they held out for some serious raises!
And while they were apparently hoping for a nice chunk of change, it seems they ended up
Alexander Pylyshenko, who owns a small zoo in Ukraine, plans to spend an entire year with two lions at his zoo.
Alexander hopes to raise awareness for lions all over the world, and to also raise $45,000 for the construction of a rehab center for lions and other big cats.
Since a year is such a long time - Alexander will split up his time with the lions. Half the time he will stay in their cage, and the rest of the time he will stay in his country house where the lions will join him!!!
This isn't the first time Alexander has done something like this.
Check out a video (above) from the first time Alexander spent an extended period of time with the kings of the jungle.
But that was only for 35 days - a lot less than a year!
Alexander isn't sure when his experiment will begin, but it should happen sometime in 2013.
If you're going to become a reality star, TLC may be one of the best employers around!
The Learning Channel appreciated Honey Boo Boo Child and the rest of her family appearing on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo so much, that they got a MAJOR raise after just the second episode.
America's new favorite fam was originally earning between $5,000-$7,000 an episode, but after the good people at TLC knew they had a monster hit on their hands, the Thompsons got a bump to between $15,000-$20,000 per ep!
Will that be enough to end Momma June's extreme couponing? Old habits die hard, so probably not.
Plus, she doesn't want the money and fame to change her family. While they are accepting some financial assistance from TLC, she turned down a free house!
Naya and Ryan Dorsey, who is from West Virginia, originally met each other about four years ago in Los Angeles after Dorsey moved from New York after graduating from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Their friendship however quickly turned into a romance once Naya and her fiancé Big Sean's relationship fizzled out this past April.
But it doesn't seem like Naya is mourning the loss of THAT relationship one bit as the couple mentioned about their current relationship:
"True love always prevails."
Regardless of who she's married to or how quickly everything came together - the act of a wedding is such an honored and amazing event!
