Three years ago, Groupon came onto the scene with just the hint of promise. Today, the Chicago-based start-up has filed to go public and hopes plans to raise an estimated $750 million for their social buying site.

The site has seen a flourish in revenue since its inception. Shortly after launching in 2008, Groupon made $94 million in revenue. This year, it raked in $713 million. With the company flourishing and gaining huge buzz, investor interest has swelled. Thus, the films behind Groupon have decided to expand their horizons and hopefully, their profits as well.

Sounds like a solid plan to us! So as we keep getting massages and dental work for 50%, we're cool with whatever! LOLz!

Not so fast!

Although reports circulated that Matt Lauer was interested in leaving The Today SHow, sources close to the anchor have revealed the announcement was only a move to secure himself a pretty hefty raise - to $25 million a year!

Not a bad negotiation tactic - he waited right until Meredith Veira said she was calling it quits!

Right now he makes a pretty comfortable $17 mill, but we imagine if he continues playing his cards right he can get it bumped up!

Drama before the show even starts!

Basketball Wives’ star Evelyn Lozada has told the producers that she wants $20,000 per episode or she’s out.

Evelyn has threatened to leave the show in the past after she accused the producers of leaking sensitive info about her to another cast member in hopes of getting her to start a fight between the two.

Sources say that Evelyn currently makes around $7,500 per episode, so she’s not messing around with this raise!

Not a bad fall back, if we do say so ourselves!

Although Simon Cowell was unable to land Cheryl Cole a judging position on the American version of The X Factor, he's reportedly softened the blow by signing a new contract for her position on the UK edition of the series - as well as a $1.38 million pay raise, making her compensation now around $2.77 million!

A source close to production explains:

"Cheryl is thrilled about the new deal. She thought her days on the UK X Factor were behind her but the money is too good to refuse. This is Simon's way of making it up to Cheryl for not landing her the US X Factor gig. He's handing her a €2million dream pay day. She was convinced Simon had pulled all the strings to get her on the judging panel but it's been a disaster. Now Cheryl will make twice the money she was on last year. Simon has told her he's going to look after her and he has a lot of surprises in store for this year's show. He's going to shake things up dramatically and make some big changes. He wants the new format to be much edgier and Cheryl will play a major role in that. She's going to be returning with a bang and with Simon no longer appearing on the show he's banking on Cheryl to stir things up."

Wowza! That's way more than fair if you ask us!

She still gets to keep her job, and makes double what she did before - and with a potentially expanded role!

We would LOVE to see our Chezza break into the US mainstream, but we think that ultimately this will be for the best! We didn't think that the UK X Factor viewers wanted to have to say good-bye to her, anyway!

Way to go, Google! This is an impressive move!

As a holiday bonus, Google's CEO Eric Schmidt has decided that the company will give all of its employees $1,000 cash (tax free) AND they'll be increasing salaries across the board by at least 10% starting January 1st!

As if that weren't enough, the company will also gives employees further raises equivalent to 1X each employee's target bonus for the year AND they'll be eligible for "merit increases" based on their performances.

Smart move, Google! World domination Company success will be MUCH easier to attain when employee morale is high.

Everyone's going to want to make as much as you for their shizzy reality shows now!

The ladies of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are joining the NYC cast in their fight with Bravo for a pay raise, and are threatening to walk if they don't make more on each episode of their smash reality series!

Sources claim that the third season was set to begin shooting on September 3rd, but that might not happen if certain demands by the cast aren't met - some of which include a cut of the profits from the DVDs, appearances, a DOUBLED salary!

And to the surprise of no one, financially fucked Teresa Giudice is behind it all!

An insider claims:

“She would like to be paid more equivalent to what the 'Jersey Shore' kids are getting. If she’s not treated better by Bravo, she’s ready to walk away.”

They definitely pull in the ratings - more so than the other versions of the show - and of course, they're also forced to deal with a legitimate psychopath while they film, so we can understand why they'd feel more entitled to a bigger paycheck!

But don't let your demands get too out of control, bb!

We're pretty sure Bravo has no problem replacing people on a whim, and we don't want you to end up with your ass fired, like that awful Prostitution Whore!

Sources close to the production of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew claimed that professional homewrecker and slam pig Rachel Uchitel originally turned down an offer to appear on the reality show, but producers bumped up her paycheck to $500,000 so she'd agree to be treated for her addiction to sleeping with married men pills!
