Hilary Duff is finally getting off her duff and going back to work!

We love baby Luca, but we've missed seeing the celeb mom on the big and small screens! But now she's getting back to acting!

Her first role? A show about… raising a baby. She tweeted:

No, this is not some sexy Lizzie McGuire reboot with Hilary Duff as the all grown-up and up-to-no-good version.

Although, this might not be a bad TV pitch…

But, back to what actually is going on.

Hilary is coming back to our TVs for the first time since giving birth to her baby boy, and this is so not some sort of sweet mommy role.

She’ll be making it messy with a guest star role on Raising Hope where she’ll play Jimmy's (Lucas Neff) ex-girlfriend who arrives in town just after he marries Sabrina (Shannon Woodward).

Gurl wants to stir up some dramz!

She’ll be making waves on the show on February 26th when Sabrina unknowingly becomes friends with Hilary’s character.

We can’t wait to see what kind of inneresting predicaments she gets into, because if she learned anything from Lizzie McGuire, trouble will be on the menu!

Doc Emmet Brown himself Christopher Lloyd is guest starring on an upcoming episode of Raising Hope! It'll air 30 years in the past!

Wait, what??

JK! It's a Back To The Future special! There won't be any actual time travel in the show, but Christopher WILL be driving a DeLorean!

We are so totally stoked! That's the power of love… of '80s movies!

Raising Hope has just landed another exciting guest-star!

The FOX sitcom has just announced the hunky American Pie star will be making an appearance as a "almost" lost relative in their third season.

Chris will play Brad, a local celebrity realtor, who is secretly related to the odd family. So far he's only signed up for one episode, but if he's blood there is a chance he'll come back to see his relatives!

Other amazing celebs signed on to the Tuesday comedy include Tippi Hedren, Jenny Slate, aaaand Melanie Griffith and Wilmer Valderrama who will be hooking up on the show!

With all the amazingness season three of Raising Hope has in store, we may have to add it to our over flowing TiVo list!

Ugh! So stressful! :P

Welcome back to TV, Melanie Griffith!

As soon at the actress' "people" are done finalizing her contract, FOX will officially announce Griffith has joined the cast of Raising Hope for its third season.

Mel has accepted the role of Sabrina's (Shannon Woodward) mama on the FOX comedy.

We don't know her character's name yet, but we SO know Sabrina's folks are super rich. We're also not so secretly hoping she will be a ridiculous Real Housewives-esque monster diva!

Things really seem to be looking up for Miz Griffith. She's back to work and (possibly) over her marriage troubles with Antonio Banderas.

If things keep going her way, perhaps Antonio will join the sitcom's cast too!

It’s official folks… no one is watching primetime television in an age when you can consume it on the cheap, watch at your OWN convenience, and not have to deal with half as many mind-numbing commercials.

With that said, we were SO glad to see that our fave TV thriller Ringer rose 16% from last week…perhaps this will prove Sarah Michelle Gellar & Co. deserve a second season?? (YES PLEASE!)

Our hearts did slightly sink when our beloved Glee's mid-season return fell 10% from it's winter finale… how did Matt Bomer not entice more of an audience? INSANE!

We know you're probs catching it today on Hulu or something, though…right??

Continuing the trend of low numbers, overall TV viewing was down 9% from last Tuesday; Dancing with the Stars fell 17 percent and NCIS: Los Angeles crashed by 23% (yikes.)

We kiss you goodbye, cable TV…don’t let the door hit you in the a** on the way out!
