Terrible! Flyers Fans Attack Rangers Fans!

Real mature, guys. Real mature. Let a sport make you result to violence, because it matters that much. So stupid.

Check out this video of some Flyers fans attacking Rangers fans at a Philly cheesesteak joint in Philly.

Violence is never the answer, especially if it has to do with a sports game — there are way more important things going on in the world than to get worked up over hockey. Let's get real, here.

Oh, and did we mention that one of the victims was an off-duty Woodbridge, N.J., police officer?

Good luck with that, attackers!

Melanie Fiona Got BOOED While Singing Canadian National Anthem At Winter Classic!

We know hockey can be a brutal sport on the ice, but during a singer's performance of a national anthem too? That's just a little bit unnecessary if you ask us.

Grammy-nominated singer Melanie Fiona sang the Canadian National Anthem before the start of the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia and she got BOOED!

Ugh! So disrespectful!

Rightfully so, Melanie was not pleased by the hockey fans' reaction to her performance and tweeted:

"…For those who disrespected the Canadian anthem, remember, its a Canadian sport with Canadian players. Sad at the ignorance."

We totally agree! Plus, it's just rude to interrupt an artist's performance like that!

At least the majority of spectators gave her a nice round of applause at the end, but the negative nancies were still heard loud and clear! Check out her performance above!

Texas Park Rangers Are Killing Donkeys

donkey

Texans seem conflicted when it comes to donkeys.

Many of them believe the animal holds a special place in their history and deserves protection.

Others are shooting them with large-caliber hunting rifles.

Nearly 130 donkeys have been killed so far by Texas Park Rangers.

When wild donkeys wander across the border from Mexico, they're shot.

Apparently Texans dislike animal border-hoppers as much as illegal human immigrants.

They believe the integration of these forging donkeys will out-forage the area and drink up the water, threatening the survival of the native species.

Some people say they're killing the donkeys so the Texas bighorn sheep population can grow large enough to allow rich game hunters to come bag themselves a bighorn.

The director of natural resources at the park said:

"They say we're doing this just so four rich white guys can hunt bighorn sheep out here. That's just not true."

All we know is, just because we drew an invisible line in the sand, it's not like there's Mexican nature and Texan nature.

The donkeys are creatures of the earth, there are no lines. They should be allowed to go where they please.

Derek was 28 when he was found dead in his apartment last Friday, five months after he had to cut his season short after a severe concussion.

He died due to mixing alcohol and oxycodone.

Derek was a tremendously well-respected hockey player, and we are sad to not have him with us anymore.

New York Ranger's forward Sean Avery supports same-sex marriage, do you?

The hockey player is the first New York celebrity athlete to support the Human Rights Campaign and the New Yorker's For Marriage Equality initiative with a video on behalf of the cause.

Sean says he treats everyone the way he expects to be treated and "that applies to marriage".

In a recent interview, he shared why he chose to take part in the campaign, saying:

“The places I’ve played and lived the longest have been in West Hollywood, Calif., when I played for the L.A. Kings, and when I moved to New York, I lived in Chelsea for the first four years. I certainly have been surrounded by the gay community. And living in New York and when you live in L.A., you certainly have a lot of gay friends.”

Thanks for not only supporting your friends, but an entire community of individuals who just want to be treated as equals.

Check out Sean's public service announcement above and join him in supporting marriage equality!
