It looks like Zayn Malik is ready to OFFICIALLY kick off his solo career!!
After leaving One Direction earlier this year and having a VERY public falling out with his buddy Naughty Boy, it's been rumored that the 22-year-old has been trying to strike up a solo deal with RCA!
Well now it sounds like Zayn finally got what he was looking for and it's all because of his good pal Simon Cowell!

That's right! The same Simon Cowell who helped put 1D together in the first place JUST helped their former member sign with a COMPETING RECORD LABEL!!!
The former American Idol judge recently said he wouldn't be surprised to see the rest of the member of One Direction take a little bit of time off and possibly split for good!
We have to wonder if he'll help everyone else the same way he helped Zayn when the time comes!

We're still trying to get over how fierce Britney Spears' Work Bitch is, but apparently that's just the beginning!!!
Brit Brit's next single Perfume, written by Sia, has a "downtempo" vibe and is bound to be an epic treat for the ears!
RCA's head honcho Peter Edge even says so!
The record label boss gushed:

Could Miley Cyrus' platinum hair be matched with a platinum record???!!!
Sure, Miles has been busy smokin' the ganja and handling trouble rumors about fiance Liam Hemsworth, but that doesn't mean she doesn't take her work VERY seriously.
It seems that Smiley Miley is hoping to be follow in pop royalty's footsteps, because she has just signed with Britney Spears' veteran manager, Larry Rudolph!!!
Larry partnering with Miley's new RCA record deal proves that Miley is VERY WILLING to take the STEEP climb to the top of the charts and away from her Disney Channel persona.

Was Adam Lambert spending a lil' too much time harshly critiquing Les Mis to ensure longevity at his record label?
The fiery-mouthed American Idol alum and 19 Recordings have split the eff up, doing so "amicably" according to both parties' reps.
While he and 19 Management broke up back in August 2011, the current move with 19R is one that's being sung as the next step in Adam's "evolution."
…apparently January was the expiration date for his contract, though he's still currently on the roster at RCA Records.
One of the insiders close to the situation insists:

That's right, Britney Spears may very well be an artist up for grabs!
The pop star's current contract with RCA, formerly Jive Records, only has ONE album left on it, and it appears that there are already two pretty big contenders hoping to sign her for the next phase of her music career!
And the first one may have an unfair advantage: he'll be sitting next to her on the judges panel of The X Factor this September!
According to reports, L.A. Reid is VERY adamant about

Is this really the best idea??
Christina Aguilera's floptacular album Bionic could very possibly be reissued in connection with the singer's promotion of her debut movie role in Burlesque.
The album has sold less than 500,000 copies worldwide so why would her label want to re-release an album that nobody was interested the first time aorund?
RCA VP Scott Seviour said, "It's not like the music industry, where the talent comes out two weeks before the album. They started at the end of July. Burlesque ideally gives us the opportunity to remarket Bionic."
So what does Xtina have to say about the reissue of her album?
"I knew going into Burlesque that it would intertwine with Bionic, but I also knew that I'd get to a point where regardless of what was happening with my record I'd have to turn my attention to the movie. I've basically put everything in my life on hold for the movie."
Come on guys! Let's just pretend Bionic never happened and work on new material!
