Next stop, Planet of The Apes Baboons!
Scientists are discovering that baboons can pick up on the first steps of reading, determining four letter combos as real words or made up mumbo jumbo.
The study was done in France but the words the primates used were in English. The study shows that the baboons got an average of 75 percent of the four letter words correct, giving clues to how humans process reading at a young age.
The key to the success is that the baboons pick up on patterns. They recognize what letters normally form words (i.e. SH) and what combinations don't (i.e. FX).
The best part of the experiment for the primates? FREE FOOD!
The baboons aren't forced into the test, but they are allowed to choose when they want to perform the task instead.
Some baboons perform the test 3,000 a day! On the low end, a measly 400! HA!

Yay!
It seems like Demi Lovato is into the Hunger Games trilogy just as much as we are!
She was spotted leaving LAX Wednesday with Mockingjay - the last book in the Suzanne Collins series - tucked under her arm.
It's always nice to see celebrities reading, especially a book as powerful as Mockingjay. We wonder what Demi has to say about the conflicted leading lady?
Plus, Katniss and Demi are both such strong yet vulnerable females who have been racked by self-doubt. Yet they both inspire hope in their respective worlds.
We wonder if she's seen the film yet…

Meryl Streep was a bit flabbergasted when she won Best Actress at the Golden Globes when forgot her spectacles off stage.
That's when the sh*t hit the airwaves!
Meryl commented on her little slip up:
I can't believe I said 'sh-t on TV. I had such a good speech and I couldn't see it. Even if you held it in the front row, I couldn't read it because I left my glasses at the table.
If anyone can get away with saying that word on live TV, it's Meryl Streep! LOL!

George Clooney is da man!
The A-lister is the first actor announce his participation in the Los Angeles reading of Dustin Lance Black's play 8, which focuses on the federal case challenging Prop 8.
