Donald Trump is finally getting back at Hollywood for not liking him!
From protests to federal lawsuits — the President's immigrant ban is causing all kinds of chaos in our country.
And tinseltown is no exception, as the executive order has created a big problem in terms of casting Muslim and Middle Eastern roles on TV shows.
The timing couldn't come worse for the peacock network, which just ordered a pilot For God and Country that calls for a number of Middle Eastern actors.
ABC is also producing an untitled pilot from Marc Cherry starring Reba McEntire alongside a late 20's Middle Eastern man.
The problem is that casting agents heavily rely on talent from the Muslim-majority countries targeted by Trump's ban. While it's always been challenging to cast these types of roles, one casting agent said Trump's order makes things "super fucked up."
Since the orange POTUS is still butthurt about Hollywood hating him for his racist rhetoric (shocking!), we have a feeling he won't care how his ban affects the representation of Middle Eastern people on television.
If anything, he'd probably suggest studios go back to white-washing to keep more jobs in the U.S.! Sad!
